    OOO sea monkeys........

I must be old, I remember getting a kit that looked like a MINI tank, when I say mini I mean mini, and a package of the dry eggs ( i think thats what it was) and the destructions (hehe-instruction). I think I was around 8 or so. A few yrs ago my daughter wanted sea monkeys, I remembered seeing the "sea monkeys" kits at walmart, went there, none to be found--hmm, so remembering that sea monkeys are nothing but brine shrimp, I went to a local pet shop that sold them live and bought a "scoop" of them for her. She was exstatic! She got her sea monkeys. They amused her for a bit anyhow, and when she no longer wanted the smelly things, she flushed them down the toilet.

Yeah that had to rank among one of the biggest dissapointments of childhood. Seeing them as they really were after having all those box-art visions poured into your head.

    (translated into interwebese)

me: "OMG DAD WTF they got no legs! What a rip!"
    dad: "BWAAAHAHAHAH! N00B!!"
    me: "uhm . . . erm . . "
dad: "those look like brine shrimp to me son"
me: "You mean they stay like that?"
    dad: "Uhm . .ya . . it's called biology - google it"
    me: "GAH!!"
dad: "Tsk! PWND by seamonkeys . . " (shakes head)
