Yeah shes awesome so far! Ive been trying to feed her some more f/t pups lately but she didnt take them the other day so im trying again now. shes probably a little thin right now. i dont have a scale to weigh her on but she seems happy. id like to feed her now on a 5 day schedule but i feel that because it is winter, she wont eat as much. The guy at Petco told me they fed her 1 frozen fuzzy every week since they had her come in. gonna see if i can get her to down two of them today.

i didnt know that was called periscoping - first ive seen a snake do it so i grabbed a few pics - very cool.

You might try different size mouse say like a just weaned size, My Ball from Petco would be dead now If I followed PetCo instructions, if it need be you may have to try live Mice to get her going this is just my opinion. .... I have seen PetCo starve babies to death by following Corporate Rules Pretty Sad. Keep us posted on all the weight issue's , you might want to buy a digital scales from like Staples, Walmart,, etc.

I definitely vote on rat pups. I got Louie from a petco as well and once I put him on rats vs mice he grew soOOO FAST! Good boy!!!

yes im going to try to find some live mice / rat pups. i could only find med sized live rats today so that didnt work out. tried feeding her a thawed fuzzy that was pretty big but no luck. she took a pinky last week and has not taken any since. i fed her last friday night. i live on long island, new york - does anyone have any tips on where to get live feeders? i tried a petland discounts and they only had the medium rats that i said before. the guy told me their live rat pups go very quickly.

shes thin as you guys said but very active in my hand and during the night. so shell be okay w/o food until i find some live ones yes?

Use Google for the Mice/ Rat search I live on the coast in Oregon and if I need live rodents its a hour their and a hour back but no heavy traffic like you have. I personally would get a live mouse or Mice to get the baby eating good and putting on weight. I'm just telling you what worked for me. At over a year old my one Ball switched from Mice to rat pups on her own, My other Ball is not eating his F/T Rat pups period he was eating them and three weeks ago he quit silly Ball Python he is. I guess I will start up my breeding mice again and Freeze what I don't need and Feed him the mice again, I don't and will not starve my Babies.

I have 4 Ball Pythons and 4 kings that all eat F/T and 1 Ball Python that won't. I like F/T.

would it be a bad idea to switch her to live rat pups and such instead of continuing with f/t? i just feel like she isnt hungry but i also want to entice her to grow, shes still a little thin at 4/5 months old.
