I had a the same issue with my candino after I got him. I did daily 20% betadine 80% water wipedowns until his next shed. After he shed his belly was nice and clean, no more discoloration. What substrate are you using?

Judging by the picture, it looks like the animal is going into shed?

That is probably why the scales are a red pink color. I'd wait until it sheds and see if the issue persists.

Burns, what heating system are you using. I had this same problem last year when I was using heat pads with aquariums. My females belly is still "scared" from the burns to this day. Whats your heat. If its a heat pad but lots more bedding on and get a different heating system.

I use 1" or 2"of repti bark. She like burrowing down to the glass thought
I used to have a heat pad/heat light cycle, but I changed it and only use the heating pad now.

    Re: Sally
OK well add more bedding to it and feel it with your hand make sure its not to hot. It could be something different but that looked exactly how my snake did when she was burned. I would invest in just a small rack system or you can build your own, get some heat tape and a thermostat and set it to 91. Do some research on you-tube and look up home made reptile racks. Also do some research on heat tape and a thermostat, go to reptilebasics.com, complete setup you could spend probably about $200 if you make your own rack maybe less.

    Re: Sally
Are you using a thermostat? What's the temperature on the glass directly over the heat pad (under the substrate)?

I had to go buy one of those, I didn't have one. Now I have two thermostat One for the general heat of the aquarium and other directly on top the heating pad. I also bought a system to control that heating pads temperature better. I visit the vet, she told me it was a burn from the heating pad. She gave me Silver Sulfadiazene Cream, I need to apply it daily. She also gave me Ceftazidime injections for infections, that's for every three days. Thanks to everybody who help me out, and your help was really appreciated it
