Super Cinny Update
Here are some photos of my ball python Julian. For the first time ever he had some stuck shed on his tail so I gave him a little help. Unfortunately these are from my camera phone so they don't do him any justice.

I love his splotches. His temperament has improved greatly and he is now the biggest sweetheart.

Gorgeous! One day I'll have a super cinny from mine!

Re: Super Cinny Update
I fell in love with them the first time I ever saw one. When I stumbled across him I knew he was mine. I thought about getting him some sort or Black Pastel girlfriend to breed 8 Balls in the future or maybe get a Cinny Champ and go for some Grey Matters. Undecided at this point especially since I am put off by all the genetic issues super cinnamons tend to have.
After that last shed I was super pleased to see that he's actually gotten darker. He was a very light greyish brown when I first got him. Still excited to watch him grow.
I'll be getting my new DSLR in the spring so I hope to update this thread with some better shots on his progress.

Re: Super Cinny Update
Also I look like I'm squeezing him in the second one. I promise I'm not. Lol

awesome snake. also he looks so nice and calm.
also if u do decide to breed him, can't go wrong with making 8 Balls or Grey Matters. or u could do both. u have a few decades to decide after all. :)

He used to be a huge jerk. Biting me was his favorite past time. Hissing, puffing, striking, etc. But of course since I'm about as stubborn as he is and he's gained some weight, he's really mellowed and he's super calm and sweet. He was my first Ball python and I thought I made a mistake not buying another boa lol. I adore his little face. I may breed him at some point in the future and if I do, 8balls and grey matters will probably be what I aim for.

So beautiful! If you have a BEL or Ivory, should do a nice picture of them side by side. Would look awesome.

When I got him I gave him close to a month with little to no contact except for feeding and cleaning. I thought maybe he needed more time to settle. It wasn't until I fully understood that it wasn't agressive behavior but extreme fear that drove him, that my tactics changed. (He was pretty bad. He never tried to ball up or run it was pure fight from him.) I started by pulling him out for 5 to 10 minuets once or twice a week and if he bit me I ignored it. I then would pull him out for longer periods. I'd let him curl up in an old shirt on my lap while I worked at my computer or read a book. Any time he started showing a bit of progress I'd pull him out for just a little bit longer. Now I can take him out 3 times a week roughly, without an issue. It was just a lot of patience and getting him fattened up with rats (Even though he's still so small). I also noticed that holding him closer to my body like my chest or lap helped. I think there is a tendency to hold nippy animals away from us but that only seemed to stress him out more. Good luck!

I found that it's exactly what everyone else was saying. It's a matter of being a "safe place" for them and the knowledge that you are not interested in eating them.

DragonHerp has a super for sale on kingsnake.

Re: Super Cinny Update
Really that place scares me because I don't know anyone and I'm somewhat at a loss because of these reasons, would you happen to have a link So I could peek ?

The key to places like Kingsnake is that you look for what you want, at a price you like, then you look up the seller online to see if there is any bad or good reviews on them. Faunaclassifieds BOI(Board of Inquiry) often has "good guy" or "bad guy" posts and you can also post here or on Fauna asking about a particular seller BEFORE you start contacting them or sending money out.
If you Google "dragonherps ball pythons" their site comes right up. I'm not sure if I should post a link, or if that would be considered advertising. I have not dealt with them but I've never heard anything bad, just good things. Their website offers a side menu you can click for "cinnamons" and it still shows the super for sale.
Do research to make sure you want to buy from ANY seller, before you start sending money. Generally if someone is ripping people off, there's people online who have complained about it. Use search terms like "rip off" or "bad guy" and such.

Re: Super Cinny Update
Thank you for your advise I will check out the dragonherps now and then go from there, I have been ripped off by people in the past in a different business but its all the same people will take you to the cleaners it's sad. I hope I can find one I just love the One on our Forum.

Re: Super Cinny Update
Super proud moment. He ate tonight after only one zombie dance.
He seems to have a hard time taking his food down. He's super eager but gives up after a while when he can't figure out how to swallow it. I normally have to heat the rats head and re-dangle a few times before he finally figures put how to eat it. This process normally takes several hours.
It was a good size meal this time too. My special boy is growing up. :').

Im happy he is eating for you. He is so good lookin.
