woke up, it is 24 degrees with a wind chill factor of 21 and fluctuating. I live on a major street through town, the cars have been backed up like mad since early this AM, I have watched half a dozen buses slip when stopped since we are on a hill, kids in buses that are ridin the curb- this sucks. No way am I sendin my kids to school in this crud! Esp. since one of mine is a bus rider who rides around 20 miles to school. Yuck!

That is a LONG ride! I think I'd keep 'em home, too. Well, of course the schools wouldn't be open here with snow on the ground, but if we were there I'd do the same thing.

We have temps in the low 30s now. In Buffalo the snow is pretty much nonexistant, but out at our house there's a good seven inches. A nearby town got a foot already! This is actually astonishing, since we usually have a few feet of permasnow (that will last til spring) by mid december.

Gin, I watch the weather up your way b/c (as you know) that's my home town and it looked like ya'll were getting some lake effect on Monday...I usually make a visit after Christmas, but not this year. My bro and my daughter are coming up and my daughter's best friend as well. She has never seen snow, so hopefully there will be some. In keeping w/the cold weather around the country, it was in the 30's here this morning as well, I got to wear my wool coat at least!!

Wow, the 30s in Florida! Never knew it got that cool down there. At least everyone's sharing in the frigid weather; it's only fair. :)

With the 'windchill' (and I use that term loosely) it felt like the 20's this morning, warmed up a bit during the afternoon, but was rather chilly all day. About 51 now, but feels so much colder...I've become such a wuss!!

Tell me about it! I was locked outside my school in that :| I think it was colder this morning than anything else, not sure on the exact temp... I got to school about 10 minutes earlier from speedwalking out of the cold though!

And in Hell this morning (Hell, Michigan, that is), it's currently 27F but feels like 14 with the wind chill. I guess Hell is starting to freeze over. ;)
