Jiraiya (VPI Axanthic Coral Glow)

Got my third bp delivered to me on Friday. I've been too busy with moving stuff to update. I had a hard time deciding on a name for him. But it turns out he is Orochimaru's half brother. I figure Jiraiya is a close to a brother that Orochimaru had. Now I wish I had named Gwny Tsunade instead, then I could have the Legendary Sannin :rofl:.

He weighed in at 116 grams, and that night had a really messy poop for me to clean up the next morning. Still waiting at least a few more days before I try to feed him. Yesterday he seemed to be settling in, not climbing up the tank as much. Still hasn't used the hides, is hiding under the plants behind a hide instead. As far as personality, he hasn't hissed or tried to strike at me. Also doesn't flinch at movements around his tank. Seems less shy and defensive than Orochimaru. I love his coloring, he even has the little CG black dots though you can't really tell in pictures.

Yup he's still snappy. Not as much as Orochimaru was when I was first got him. I think Jiraiya is mostly bark, he hisses -a lot- and pretty loud lol. Plus he refused his second meal so I'm trying to handle him as little as possible. He ate the past two meals, so going to start taking him out more.

Just gotta say... You're awesome for liking Naruto :)

Jiraiya wouldn't eat while he was in shed, but was very hungry afterwards lol. He's already almost back up to 150 grams.

Jiraiya doesn't hiss as much as he used to. Guess he is getting used to people. He's at 177 grams now.

Jiraiya seems to be getting more freckles, but otherwise his coloration appears to be staying the same. He can be annoying to get to eat, but I guess its not that big a deal being a male. His last shed was 8/4/16. Currently 485 grams.

Jiraiya is a grown up man-snake now, has started breeding with Gwnyvere on 1/26/17, with a confirmed lock already on 1/27/17! His last shed was 12/28/16 and he weighed 672g on 1/24/17.
