2.5 year old Spinner Blast - Who says they all brown out?
I thought I'd share a quick shot of my "little girl", Lemon Drop, who is now 1500+ grams and 2.5 years old. She's all freshly shed and getting ready for the upcoming season (her first). She's still as bright as the day she hatched - LOVE HER!
If she were yours, what would you pair her with? I certainly have a few ideas in mind, myself. :D

Beautiful

Very beautiful indeed! Love the name.

She is gorgeous.. she has great color, I like the bright yellow that comes down and UP into the white.
You ask what we would pair her with. I'm very hooked on enchi and orange ghost, so I would prolly look for an enchi orange ghost male. Of course the og would take longer to see, but I think it would be worth it with her color.

What males do you have? I don't have any males worthy of her. My best male Enchi Super Pastel Spider, my next best is Enchi Pastel. My Scaleless Head and Sunset males don't count as they aren't common, and those two genes are being outcrossed to everything.
Now that I think about it, Enchi Mojave Yellow Belly. If I had that male, that is what I would choose.

Thanks! I got her back when my collection was small, so she's one of the few with a name. We actually call her "Baby" more often than her real name. :)

Thanks! Hypo is one gene that I don't have that I really should (and I've been saying that for awhile now). Enchi is certainly an option though.

No males worthy of her, but you have a Scaleless Head and a Sunset in your collection? :confusd: To answer your question, I have three males that will do the majority of the work this upcoming season: Enchi Fire YB, Orange Dream YB, and Pastel Clown. :gj:

Yes to your other question. In the few sheds my Scaleless Heads have had I notice that the eye caps split when they shed. I was going to make a post about it. And Het Sunsets, no visuals.
As to "unworthy", your snake is a three gene animal. Going by the rule of thumb that you shouldn't breed a male with less genes to a female with more, mine are unworthy. The Scaleless Head and Sunsets don't count because they're rare and kind of fall outside the range of your question. My Pastel Het Sunset male won't breed this year, and my Het Albino Pastel Scaleless Head will go later in the season after quarantine. If I can get him to eat for me, etc, etc.

Nice! Have you shown them off on here yet? I'd love to see! :D

Thank you! My best advice is to start with quality animals. Quality In = Quality Out

I did post this picture as a teaser:
http://user.xmission.com/~ramcat/ima...hons/head1.jpg
And I will post more. I guess I should start a question and answer thread that also documents things I find out about them on the way. Like the 2 for 2 sheds with split eye caps. Does that interest anybody?

What bright colors! I'd breed her to a Calico Bee myself... :D
-
Shes really nice and yellow. I'd love to see her with OD!
-
Now THAT'S quality! This is what everyone should be looking to replicate when using Pastel.

Re: 2.5 year old Spinner Blast - Who says they all brown out?
Beauty! I'd pair her with a pastave to throw the chance for some supers and mojave blends

Thank you! She makes the lemons in back yard tree jealous when they're in season.

Thanks! Quality is something everyone should look for regardless of the gene - this one just happens to be a GREAT Pastel example. :gj:

Thank you! You just managed to pick two genes that I don't have in a male yet. What are the odds? :D

well, if I don't hit a nuclear enchi after this year, my enchi lesser would pair nicely

She is very nice :gj:
I would pair her with some OD combo without a doubt.

Re: 2.5 year old Spinner Blast - Who says they all brown out?
I'm with the orange dreamers :) she's a gorgeous girl and everything is better with a little OD.

Is there anything you wouldn't pair with OD? :P Yes, there will be a fair share of OD pairings in my future. ;)
