What does a snake fart sound like?

So a few times I thought I heard my snakes cough, but every time I check on them, one had recently pooped. Every single time. So I figure they're just farting when they poop. It's been like 4 times in maybe 7 months.

It it sounds like a cough to me because it's not a low pitched growl that was summoned from the depths of hell.

Does anybody have have any experience with the sound snake fart or a snake cough?

They make both sounds.

A fart sounds, somewhat un-surprisingly, like a fart.

Snake farts sound like people farts, although sometimes higher pitched depending on the size of the snake lol

Okay, time to talk about farts, something every woman loves to do. Seriously, we do. We find it just as funny as anyone else does.

But as for a snakes fart... It sounds like a puff, fluff, floof, silent but deadly... that type of thing. Sometimes when their poops and urine is watery sometimes it will sound like you pressing your lips together and blowing out air, only quieter. And I have never witnessed a snake cough so I could not give you any info on that one.

Much like people farts, snake farts come in many different variations.

On a related note, you (and those closest to you) have my sympathy if the only fart sounds you know are low pitched growls summoned from the depths of hell. :please:

Good on you for not having yet been witness to the "dark side of volatile snake farts". I only wish some of my animals were as gentle as you're describing. :oops:

HAHAHA.... if you lived with a husband like mine, I bet your snake's farts would seem to be much gentler... I have even been pooped on by my snakes and I would still take that over my husband's gases.

The ones which include brown spray all over the tub walls, and rack roof haha..

My one snake scared my husband and I one night, we heard him over the Xbox game my husband was playing at the time and it forced him to pause the game so we could try and figure out what the heck was making that noise. I swore it was something outside scrapping the concrete garage pad or something... Sure enough, my one ball had a big dump and it was a nasty, noisy one! Haha. Never have I heard a snake go to the bathroom like that before. I hope he felt good after that one, it was quite the mess to clean up! :P

Also I briefly bathed my bp after a feeding session ended up with her making art out of the rat's pee (it was beautiful). She decided to poop/fart in the tub, and it was the cutest thing ever. Little bubbles and everything.:D

I actually had a similar experience happen to me a couple months ago that scared me half to death! I heard a loud, wet, gurgly fart noise and it startled me because no one else was in the room. Turns out it was just one of my snakes leaving behind a pleasant surprise for me to clean up.

i thought one of mine had a respiratory infection. It's farts sound like a human death rattle last gasp breath and it had me worried til i made the connection.

Only heard it once and was scared out of my mind cause the room was quiet when one let it rip. I thought there was a dinosaur in my closet!

Had snake in PVC cage in bedroom closet. He farted so loud at 2:30 am it woke me up. "How does something so small make such a big noise?!"

My BP darted so loud one night I heard it from the other room. I was so surprised due to having just got him I looked around the house for what made the noise then I saw the aftermath of it in his tank! A turd bigger than my cat can make!

i was feeding my other BP's when i hear a loud "pooooooott!" and i'm like WTF lamo! "pooooot!" omg wtf. lololol. "pooot!" i look around and see Rain on top of her hide - sharting into her waterbowl. lololol. she's like at 800grams now. so much noise from an animal so small. it was like the sound an uncle makes when he asks u to pull his finger.

i was shocked and amused.

anyway here's her waterbowl i retrieved after the coast was clear.

first time i heard it, i thought my snake needed a vet visit , i didn't know what was wrong.,then its ball-pythons.net!! time!, i can chuckle about it now but it really did scare me at the time.haha
