    Off Goes the Incubator
With the last of these crawling out last night, I'm done hatching eggs for the year. Pairing was firefly to pastel calico. Nice and busy patterns, like I prefer, until that calico gene jumps on board and reduces them a notch or two. I'll update with some proper pictures once they shed.

Awesome clutch! The two middle bottoms ones are my favorite for sure. Thank you for sharing that.

What is the really uniquely patterned one at the bottom left? I'm not super familiarized with the calico gene but those bold, clean colors and reduced pattern look pretty fine lol!! ^w^

Looks like the single gene Calico to me, and a great one at that. If I'm wrong, John, I'm blaming it on the view from my phone on Tapatalk. :)

Right you are, Eric - single gene calico. I'm reserving final judgement for post shed pictures but that's the one I'm digging on most straight out of the egg. Even though the pattern is reduced to smithereens, I like how the white is creeping in on those flames.

Between that one and its neighbor, I'd be pretty torn to pick a favorite. A good looking single gene calico/sugar stands up very well next to a ton of combo animals on my book.

That bottom row really stands out.
    Job well done. :gj:
I'm partial to reduced pattern so the bottom left calico jumped right out... absolutely wonderful!
Oddly enough I think my next favorite is the bottom right. With its busy pattern and great blushing.

Well, these have shed out. I unfortunately had to cull a baby that had a massive hardbelly. It was of a size that palpating would have surely just led to a painful death.

On a brighter note, here are the surviving babies who will get their first food offerings in the next few days. I'm partial to the two calicos and will grow them out a while to see how they mature. The single gene calico is business in the front and party in the back so I'm affectionately calling her Mullet.
