    Feeding Night
Had a blast feeding my snakes tonight everyone ate there f/t Rats with no problems I'm happy about that, almost done had my Matrix Short tail Borneo left. I looked at him and had a feeling I was gonna get Bit and I did this is my first snake bite from my Bloods I just stayed calm and had the mouth wash handy just for this reason he let go before I vould get the bottle open and he seemed bummed out but took his Rat Like he was starving and it all worked out. This was another hands on lesson for me........http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...ea34812de9.jpg

Sounds like you need a bigger pair of tongs lol, I don't put my hand in the cage for most of my snakes on feeding day as some of them are quite eager grabbers.

Theses are the main tools that I use to feed, depending upon who is eating and how aggressive they seem to acting that day.

24 inch Hemostats on top from ebay

    16 inch Hemostats

    18 inch Tongs from eBay.

The shorter the device, the more control you have.

Just curious what type of mouth wash is best?? Do you spray them in the mouth/face? Wouldn't it burn there eyes??

I have Scope brand and I have it ready in a small spray bottle and some on a Drip bottle .In this incident he released me and I put him in the feed box and he grabbed the F/T rat faster then I could blink. You apply it in the mouth just enough to get it to let you go.

Beautiful snake. My son got his first feed bite (the only one we've ever had) from one of our male ball pythons on Thursday. After an attempt to wrap the snake let go. Nothing like a bite from a blood. Still it was a learning experience for him.

    Thanks for sharing!
