New guy with Petco find, what is he?

Hey everyone, new here! I've had all kinds of reptiles but never gave ball pythons much interest until finding this guy at a local petco. He looks amazing and I figured it'd be nice to have a calm snake for once, so I picked him up. I'm not too familiar with all the new bp morphs out there as I've only focused on leopard geckos in the past. What do you think he is? I tried to get some accurate pictures.

Wow really good looking pastel :gj:. There are tons of pastels, but there are very few nice ones out there. Great pickup!

How can you tell a pastel vs a firefly? He looks JUST like my snake but he is clearly a firefly or are they the same thing?

looks like it could be a Pastel Vanilla to me.

looks like a really nice pastel with something extra. you may have to breed it to see if it makes anything other than pastels or normals. congrats on the great find though, very lucky! i never see morphs at my petco but i always look xD

He looks just like my super bright pastel male did when he was a baby. He might have something else in him, or he might not. Either way, for a Pet shop snake, he's super nice!

I vote firefly. However, I was back and forth with super pastel for a while. Was he not labeled at pet co? Either way, congrats on your pretty new pet!

At Petco even if it was labeled odds are they have no idea...I was at Petco last week they had a Leopard gecko in the tank and it was labeled fat tailed gecko...I bought a blizzard gecko that was labeled as albino. I got my last snake there and she looks just like this one...mine...could be pastel could be firefly could be vanilla pastel...was labeled as fancy...

Thanks everyone, I pretty much figured it'd be hard to nail down the exact genetics but I'm very happy with him. Apparently they brought in some morphs for a reptile event and this guy was a hold out that was kept in the back. I'll pay more attention to the ball python breeders at the next reptile show I'm at.

Its not a pastel vanilla. the head would be way more washed out.
Its not a firefly. the head would be washed out more towards the nose.
All fingers point to a super pastel on this one.

I'm thinking super pastel as well. Once he gets older it will be easier to tell though, as babies are always extra bright in color.

I'm thinking maybe a really pretty and unique super pastel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it looks quite lighter than a normal pastel in my opinion.

He was bought in SWFL, Ft Myers area. Super pastel looks about right, but he is really washed out. Really light yellows and no orange at all. It's crazy how much these vary. Either way I'm happy with him, although he's still really shy and doesn't even want to think about eating.
