Just rescued this girl, what has she?
I rescued this girl who was apparently 7 months old and never shed. She was really under weight, and they previous owner left the staples in the top of her hidey home among other issues. My wife pointed out she has an awesome mustache. So with her being a girl and having a mustache I named her Caitlin. There previous owner said she was a bumble bee. I had $100 for her and her enclosure. How did I do. Also she has shed once since being with me and eaten 3 times, currently doing great. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...4e26a67e6a.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...7e91bad35b.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09...4ca775bd0d.jpg.

Sorry for crappy pics and long story.

I would not think that was a bumblebee. It looks like a very reduced pattern spider, and is a little similar to my new desert spider.

If you're happy with her, then it's a good bargain. She's very cute and has an adorable face.

I would call her a lucky ball...good job in rescuing her. Honestly it looks like it has enchi in it. I don't see that as a bumblebee. Looks like a very nice animal

First thought is a Woma but more than likely a spider.
    Sure is not a bee.

Just googled that. Wow that looks close. I just don't know since there are so many going details that distinguish between the different types.

I wanna say stinger bee as well. Definitely got a good deal specially if you decide to breed one day

Most stinger bees I've seen have darker heads with the "cap" patch intact though. The desert spiders lose that cap and have the stripe markings on a "bald" head.

I'm limited in how many stinger bees I've seen, but I was recently looking up the desert spiders because of ZsaZsa.

Yeah you're totally right. The color doesn't seem right to me, but since I never got interested in deserts, I didn't look too deep into that combo. Whatever it is, it's cool looking.

OP, you should read up on female desert fertility issues before considering breeding her.

It may not be a bumblebee but she's goshdarn adorable with that mustache!! I love snakes with mustaches, that's one of the main reason I like big boas so much. Congrats on saving her, that was so kind hearted and sweet to give her a second chance!

    Good job on the rescue!

    That is one awesome mustache.

I named my Boa, Elenore after the old West prostitute, Elenore Dumont whom had a mustache.

Thanks she's doing great. Will be getting fed number 5 today. She eats very well. The weight seems to be sticking well. Now just to get her big enough for live mice.
