Taking Louie to vet for ri
I'm so sad guys, I love Louie SO much, and I've tried my hardest and best to care for him properly and he's been eating great and is such a sweet snake. He means everything to me. Two weeks ago on feeding night he sounded a little raspy breathing so I got him a heat pad and stronger bulb to help warm up his house with the humidity being higher. Before it was so dry in there he couldn't even shed so I put him on cypress mulch and that helped incredibly. A week later so last Saturday I took him out to feed again and his breathing was great and he looked good and ate like a champ. Then today I took him out to say hi and he had bubbles and saliva on his mouth and I'm on my way to the vet now for antibiotics. I really don't want to lose him and I'll do anything to make him healthy again. And keep him that way I don't want him to get a RI back after he heals. I'm just sad right now. I feel like I failed him. It sucks.... But hopefully he will be okay right?

It was 49 for the exam and its 12 dollars per injection and I'm taking him twice a week, the doctor was really amazing she really knew her snake stuff. I was worried from reading other vet horror stories on here but luckily this was a great experience.

How is your little man today? Any improvement??? Don't beat yourself up - I'm sure that you are doing 100% the best that you can for your snakey pal, which is all that anyone could ever ask of you.

So today I took Louie out to put him in his steam bath again and he seemed a little more agitated than usual but he's heavy into blue right now, deep opal eyes, so I think that's why he was a bit moody. Usually just sits in my arms and sits in his box but he was firing all over the place haha. I put a humid hide in today and when I put him back in his home I put him in front of it so he slithered in and checked it out then went back to his favorite warm hide out. He's due tuesday for another shot, I'm really really hoping he's going to be okay. He was still kind of bubbly around his mouth and got that little gloat going on in his neck. Poor baby.... All the reassurance really honestly means a lot. Checking this thread and seeing you guys all rooting for Louie and reassuring me means the world. So thankful for this site!!

Re: Taking Louie to vet for ri
Hi everyone!! School has been busy I barely have time to eat and sleep between work and classes now but I still try to pop on here and check things out! So first I wanted to say thank you so much for checking in on Louielouie (thank you for the music video!!! It made me really happy). He's on the rise and I couldn't be happier. He's been poking his head out of his hides during the day and checking things out and he's thermoregulating, I see him go from his warm to his cool side throughout the span of the day which makes me happy he's taking care of himself he also has been drinking water and he ate a baby rat on Saturday!!!! So he had a good shed and ate and has been getting his medicine from the vet we are doing once a week now. I'm so glad to have been able to come here so worried and scared and now things are better and I had this amazing support group. Here's some pics of the man himself from yesterday, last Saturday and the day before that on a vet appointment https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...g=eyJpIjoidCJ9 https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...g=eyJpIjoidCJ9 https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...g=eyJpIjoidCJ9 Lots of love!! tembii and louie
