Which is worth more, your herp collection or your daily driver?
My herp collection is worth more than my commuter car. My daily driver is 16 years old with 300k miles and has a book value under $1000.

By the time I add in the custom room and all the power. Collection has taken over.

Don't tell my hubby, but definitely my collection ;) It will be moreso once I finish upgrading all my tanks to PVC to have one 'solid' unit rather than tanks on shelves everywhere.

    Not even a question.

Then again, my daily driver has 298k on it sooo that's not difficult haha

I drive a 1995 Volvo 940 wagon so a chest freezer full of feeders might be worth more than my car.

Collection, no contest. I have more value in hatchlings right now than my daily driver, but I like to drive stuff I can work on, which means mostly old beaters. Currently a 94 Chevy full size van with like 270k on it.

Dang, I'm actually surprised at how many people have a more valuable herp collection. Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised here...? :P

My car is a Lexus GX 2007... I believe still around $20,000 in worth.

My snake collection is worth around $450. Sigh.

    Priorities. :D

FWIW my avatar is not my daily driver. It's also worth more than my snake collection, but not by much.

Heh heh, funny topic. My herp collection is worth more then a 2001 Chevy S10. Probably not by a lot, but I swear a lot less at my snakes.....

A year ago my collection would have easily beat the value of my old car, and my collection is small. Last October I bought a new car, so I have a ways to go for my collection to surpass it. Challenge accepted!

My car (2014 Mitsubishi Lancer) beats out my collection... For now. Give me a couple of years for that sucker to depreciate as I continue to expand my collection.

My car is considered totaled due to a car accident. Some bumper damage and a few other things that are wrong. The estimate costs of the damage was more than the car is worth. It still runs perfectly fine. *shrugs*

My collection on the other hand...definitely worth more.

lmao.... I never put this into perspective... Yes I'm quite a bit over the cost of my car, which is an '09 I bought in '11. Now it's worth far less :P.......

Re: Which is worth more, your herp collection or your daily driver?
I drive a 2000 Chevy Silverado 5.3 liter v8 extended cab long bed that is at about 96,000 miles so I would approximate the value to be at least $4,000 and my ball pythons cost me a total of $1275 for my snakes another $500 or so I have spent in caging and what not so I think my pickup definitely beats out my snakes as far as value.

The poll is a trick question!
I only have a Corn and a King, and I drive a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon with 125k miles on the clock. I'm a petrol head and I couldn't be happier driving any other vehicle in existence, yet my Jeep doesn't hold a candle compared to how much I value my snakes!

My collection has outpaced my project 87 Wagoneer over the last year or so but the daily driver still wins, 08 VW R32. She's my baby, not worth near what some of y'all have in collections or cars but a real joy to drive, actually looking forward to cruising across town to get feeders tonight.

2008 Sonata...lots of miles. Prize goes to the collection by a fairly large margin.

This is easy because.... I live in a downtown core and dont HAVE a car. So yeah, my collection is worth way more than the non-existent car that i have. Even if i had a car my collection would probably be worth more though...

I gotta say money wise, dollar for dollar....my truck and its not even a close competition as its fully customized. I'm a gear head and do all my own custom work ( i used to work for ford and painted custom hot rods)....but even though I only have one snake I value it more then my truck lol
