    Pastel asphalt or YB?
I know it's difficult somewhat to tell the difference in the two. But does anyone have any experience with the two and how to tell them apart. I'm trying to get in on the freeway project. I think his pattern is too funky for a pastel YB, opinions?

I've hatched a lot of pastel yellowbellies and feel confident in identifying those. Many have had some funky patterns. What was the pairing on these and can you get any belly pics?

I will ask, he is from a very reputable breeder. He is also unsure and I am either taking a big risk or getting a high reward for the price.

That's a great project. I'm a big yellowbelly complex fan. My fingers are crossed for you.

Thank you, I also am a huge Yellow Belly complex fan. I just got a Pastel Puma girl. What are the indicators for an Asphalt?

Not too sure. I'd go with the pick out the pastel ybs from the batch and hope for the best. I can't afford that gene at the moment so I haven't looked into it that closely. I really liked the pastel puma girl you got. I'm thinking of adding either a pastel puma or something along the lines of a pastel enchi spark to the mix. I have 4 pastel yb, 2 ivories and 2 yb girls all adults and proven. Also have a black pastel yb and an OD pinstripe Yb female that are close to breeding size. So gotta have something worthy of putting to them. Banana mojave yb male will see a few of those lucky girls.

Fairly soon I'll be adding a super stripe, super specter, and a super spark. Thought about just getting a pastel ivory male until this guy flew into my radar.

Very nice additions. I'm working quite a bit with pieds at the moment too. Got a nice pastel yb pied, albino pied and hopefully pastel banana pieds projects going too.

Honestly, if Josh says it's an asphalt, it probably is

i will expect more blushing for a YB pastel, i think you need the sibling to make a better opinion on the snake, but as the other suggest trust the breeder

As stated above, he wasn't sure and neither was Todd Constable. That's why I was asking here, otherwise I would have taken his word for it.

I missed that earlier. If you can find a way to get into contact with Brant Rustich (Formerly of Major League Reptiles) he might be able to help. He did a lot with the freeway project the last couple years before selling his business. I know he has posted here before he may still hop on from time to time.
