Re: Super worried new owner
Have you by chance put oil on him recently?
Re: Super worried new owner
No I haven't. What is that and should I be doing it?

no, you should not be.
Re: Super worried new owner
Okay good. Should this be something I should be concerned about?

How about hand cream - do you use it? Maybe some got on your snake after you put it on your own hands?
I haven't treated him for anything.
And I have severe allergies so besides hand soap I don't keep or put anything on my hands.

The only thing I clean with is a vinegar and water solution. I just cleaned his whole tank 4 days ago with vinegar/ water solution then rinsed everything again with water.

When we got him the from the pet store the sales person told us to not believe anything on the internet about humidity and that snakes don't need it. When we got home we did research and learned that guy was super wrong so he has humidity that sits around 50%. But he was about a week into his shed when we got him and the tank he was in at the store was at MOST 10% humidity.
From what i could could tell the shed went okay. There was one whole piece in the tank when the shed was done. But givin that for the first week of his last shed he didn't have any humidity it may be just tiny bits of his last shed.
Re: Super worried new owner
Well, now you know not to shop at that store any more. I wouldn't be surprised either if those are little bits of stuck shed coming off of him now that he's in a higher-humidity environment.
