    Made the jump
A while ago my wife got her Sulcutta Tortoise, we already know how big they get and how long they can live...................

Last night it was my turn. LoL
My Dubias are over producing like crazy and I was looking for a "disposal" for lack of a better word.

Well this one is a start, picked up a little Savannah Monitor that's about 8 inches or so long with a bad attitude.
Should fit right in with everyone else :gj::gj:

Hope the tank will last a little while so I can rearrange to larger housing.

    Oh my!
    Very prehistoric.
    Name??

If money were no object, I'd have a professionally made habitat for a couple of those black water monitors (Salvator varanus - or something close). Even just out of the egg, some of these guys look like they are about a hundred years old. ...old souls, I guess.

    Very cool.
Best of luck to you with both.

Nice and healthy, very nice and keep it that way!

They grow crazy fast. Mine maxed out at an inch per few weeks.

Haha ya, how big is he now? Isn't it amazing that the bite of a lizard even a small one makes a snake bite seem like not that big of a deal...funny thing is every time my snake strikes I still jump like a wuss and when the tegu lunges at me I'm fine.

Well Chomper (seems to be the common name LoL) is at 280 grams and already getting a little large for the enclosure.
Though he has been getting more out time with me being home the past couple months.
I am so tired of cleaning his water bowl........ its his ever cleaning outhouse and man can he make it stink!!

Does he still have a bad attitude? My old Savannah hated me pretty much every moment except when I brought him rats. Then he was my friend until that rat went down the hatch lol.

He's put some size on fast! My Tegu used to destroy her water dish too, but once I got her in her big enclosure she stopped doing that.

Someone went for a swim today. He is getting big (I should have threw him at the scale but didn't have time).
Need to start building the new enclosure real soon.

Well the not so little guy finally got an upgrade and he really is digging it. LoL

    Weighing in at 812g now.

Got a 110 gallon trough from Tractor Supply for $70, it was kind of hard to pass on as well it is water proof.

I have found that he does love hard boiled eggs.
This is great because we are also up to 10 hens now so he is getting a rotation of eggs, dubia and rat pinks.

    Love those troughs.
I own a few sizes, and keep goldfish in two. Would like to get more; they have endless uses.
You can raise a batch of baby chicks in that if/when he outgrows it (how big will he get?).

He is so calm now, like a whole different guy.
He does still get a little worked up when I am feeing the snakes, he knows a rat pup may be coming his way.
