the thought has occured to me to get rid of my BPs...they just are giving a hard time. i got rex for a pet shop, hes been to the vet, has no parasites of any kind, and is a healthy weight. he will only eat adult mice, when he does eat. hailey, i got from don hamper, and was born june 04. shes on adult mice, and hasnt ate in about 3 weeks. now for the hypothetical question, if i decided to get rid of them, would anyone here want one? i wanna get them to a good home, but i think i would just rather go with boas. once again, this is a hypothetical question, im not for sure if i want to or not, but the thought has crossed my mind.

hypothetical question
I would have to say that I would be interested, but I couldn't commit to anything until you were absolutely sure you wanted to let them go. And even then, I would be taking a long hard look at my budget and thinking about it for a while.

getting rid of ur bps! i would take one but that thought would never cross my mind of just gettin rid of mine, i love my girl!
-
I would consider the smaller one
-
is that the one that is causing most of the problems?

hey guys, ive got many offers, and i appreciate it, i dont lknow if i want to get rid of any of them or not, im really not sure, i just was wondering if anyone here was interested cause i know this would be my best bet for getting them a good home. my male BP probly causes the most problems...he bites..lol...idk if i will though, i think i like the challenge, and who knows, maybe things will turn around in spring.. will find out...thanx for the replys though, i know now if i ever do decide to get rid of them that i can get them a good home.

yea if any place i would want my bp to go to a good home would be here cuz every1 here are good animal people that actually know what they are doin(well at least the majority does!)
-
I would be interested in your female. I would definately provide her with a good home, and I have an extra rubbermaid with a heatpad just waiting for a new BP. I could even give you pictoral updates on her if you wanted.
Just make sure to look long and hard at the possibility before you give them away. I have missed animals I have sold in the past, and usually they're gone for good.
-
Oh I forgot to mention that I would be willing to take both of them if you were going to give them anyway and wanted them to stay together.
Anyway, I think it'll be quite a while before you make that final decision.

HI Jason,
I understand your thoughts. I have my loves and my not so much loves in the herp world, althou we run a rescue and treat them all equal, of course there are some species I prefer to others.
If you ever need help in finding homes for any of them, I would like to offer you our assisitance in a good way of screening potential owners. I am sure if you ever decide you would not have a problem finding someone to take them, but if you would like help in how to pick out a good home, please feel free to IM or email me for tips on screening. If you wish.
Thanks
Rusty

thanks rusty, means alot to me

have you considered getting rid of them one at a time? One may be easier and more enjoyable to handle. You may find that you want to keep one, but not 2. You may try that before just getting rid fo both of them at the same time
-
nah, im gonna keep them both. i think i know why thier both not eating, so its all good, thanks for the advic though
-
Yeah, once you get rid of an animal, it's usually gone for good. You can suffer a lot of regret if you realize you still wanted them. I think you made a good choice. :)
