Opinions on this logo I'm having worked on......

My initial impression is similar - the graphic is great, but the text isn't entirely clear.

The CD screws it up a lot. Looks like a jumbled blob.

Try recentering the Constrictors and centering the CD avove that?

Or make the C and D a little larger and place one on either side.

I found the font being used hard to read.

Going a different route possibly....

The second one is a bit better. The words still seem a bit jumbled but you can read it a little better. Love the genie in a bottle idea though. That is awesome.

The CD still kills it.
Just had my wife glance at it as she has no clue who you are and doesn't play on any of my reptile stuff, she had a hard time reading the name.

Second one better.

First one, I had no idea it even said CD .

I like the simplicity of the first image. I recommend trying to put a space between the c and d to help it read better.

If you went with the second image it would recommend reversing the lamp and redirecting the tail into it. This will give the image symmetry and make it more easily applied to things (think tshirts, cards, Web page etc.) I mocked something up on my phone to explain what I mean. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07...d8f457a31f.jpg

You might wanna also consider making it a simple black and white image like the style of the first one. It makes the logo more universally applicable and advertisable because the color of the entire logo can be changed to fit with whatever you want to put it to. Just my ideas and how I would do it

The second layout is great but the font just isn't working for me.

You can search different fonts here. Most of them are free: http://www.1001fonts.com/ Personally I think the Creampuff font would actually look good and inviting.

We're changing the font totally and going with the first option for simplicity. Rough draft that still needs some work.....

I like bottom left, looking sharp!

Bottom 2 for sure. The lamp looks alot better in the middle. Just a matter if you decide to keep the lamp or not. Out of curiosity is the lamp part of the brand? Or just a cool thing added in there? I like it either way

Is there a way to better communicate that in the logo? It's a great concept. I'm not sure the average customer will get that egg = lamp = magic, etc, from these current designs.

Fonts. I am leaning towards #4, and open to opinions.....

I know this has been dead for a while, but thought I would throw this out there, I like 11 and 19, however they are a bit hard to read. 20 seems like a good compromise between a distinctive look and being legible.
