New Baby Burm
Around nine years ago I bought a baby male Burmese Python.
Today I picked up a little girl.

She was pretty frightened by me, biting me multiple times and made a few attempts at my face.

I'm very excited to see this one grow to adulthood. Especially now that I have a bit more experience.
The damage

Oy... I am falling in love with Burms... She's very pretty. Better get a doctor to check out that bite though :P You might die ;)

Very nice. Love the pattern on burms.
-
Yeah she's very very small. Hatched about a month ago today.

Re: New Baby Burm
Wow! Fantastic animal. With all the recent giant Python restrictions in the Lacey Act ,Burmese seem to have a new attraction. I think I will get one soon. I love her attitude! :gj:

Here's a photo of the male. He's a normal. The only Burms that I'm really attracted to.

She took a frozen thawed rat pup today with no hesitation. :gj: She's also opaque.

I'd say he's actually about average for an adult male, maybe even a little on the small side.
I would put him at between 10 and 11 ft and between 40 and 50 lbs

Congratulations on your new little girl! :)
I always admire your male Burm when you post pics.

Huh. I thought they got much bigger than that. Maybe it is within my realm of possibility :D

Females will generally be quite a bit bigger but like I said he is on the small side for a burm.

Wow! What's the biggest meal he ever had?

The largest I'll feed him is a 4lb bunny.

their sizes vary, ive seen some big males, a friend of mine had a male that was younger than my female burm and he is at 14ft and about 90-100lbs now, not overfed either just had big genetics in him i guess lol
females usually are bigger though.
