I didn't see anything different with this egg than with the others. I stopped candeling about 4 weeks in because I was distracted with more eggs and the first batch of ball python eggs hatching.

Wow! I've never seen that before. I didn't even know snakes could be twins, as in, in the same egg!

It happens from time to time. The twins will be smaller than your typical hatchlings

    Congratulations!

It will be interesting tracking their development, especially compared to the rest of the clutch.

Word that's cool as hell. Do they come out with the same genes? Same pattern? Identical twin snakes would be dope

That would be amazing!! I mean them being twins is amazing enough but identical twins would be mind blowing! Congrats and good luck with the rest of the clutch!

I had twins this weekend also. First time in 8 years of breeding. I hatched a pair of spiders. The first one pipped and I thought it looked small, checked on them a few hours later and had two heads poking out!

Thanks everyone. I was super excited when I saw two heads poking out of the egg.

At least one twin appears to be a Mojave. They are still in their egg, so cannot see if the other one is also a Mojave. Will be interesting to see if they are similar in pattern. This is only my second clutch ever. The female locked with our Mojave and our cinnamon males, so it was a "who's your daddy" clutch. Looks like our Mojave won.

    update on the twins
Both twins are out of their egg. They are both Mojave females, and are so tiny. They have different markings, but are so dang cute.

Maybe it's my mind, but the dash for for dash pattern of their stripe ( while not exact) dose seem to have similarities. And the alien heads that are connected to the dash/dots seem to happen in similar spots....

Again it could just be my mind....

One was 24g, the other was 32g. Together, they equal about the weight of one of their clutch mates, which are around 60g each. The 24g one is so tiny. I hope I'll be able to put some weight on her.

I know you think they are small but I just had a 17 gram girl crawl out of the egg a couple days ago :O She came out early, and left her entire yolk in the egg. Good luck with your twins!

I had one hatch around 25 grams. He was always smaller, but he did great :)
