Beautiful clutch. It's really interesting to look at. The normals go from lightest, light to normal looking.

Either way neat clutch, and the lighter ones are pretty awesome in my opinion as well.

If it was female I'd keep it. Male would be a bit iffy since you have a visual.

Yeah I know but I think he's just cool looking. I'll hold on to him and see how he mature

Thank you, I've cut all my clutches but these puppies hatched on their own and I'll continue to do it like that ...

Does that mean you didn't cut the eggs? This is probably the part about breeding that freaks me out the most - I can't see myself cutting open eggs with tiny baby sneks inside still trying to soak up all their yolk like french toast. D: What's the reason so many people do this, rather than letting the babies hatch when they're good and ready?

I did not cut this clutch. I've not lost a snake yet by cutting. I usually cut between days 52 & 55 without issues, they still come out on their own. I do it for two reasons, excited to see if I got lucky and just in case they can't cut the egg

DH says snakes have an "egg tooth" on their noses that falls off after they're born (wat), does this sometimes happen prematurely, preventing them from getting out of their eggs naturally? I guess I can see why this would be helpful to the babies, having an easy escape route - other than the obvious complication of cutting a major vein (this kills the snek), does egg-cutting ever cause any other complications that uncut eggs don't experience?

Good question, but I really can't answer since I don't have personal experience with losing a snake to not being able to cut the egg. I just didn't want to take a chance but mostly was just curious to see if I hit the odds. When cutting just gotta be careful and point the siccors up, there are plenty of YouTube videos on cutting .
