Tarahumara boa ID
I was wondering if anybody can ID this boa if it's a true tarahumara boa. Picture from a seller.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06...85f0d81e78.jpg

Without knowing who the breeder was or the background of the snake - who knows?

Seller sad that he purchased her from breeder here in Denver, and the breeder bought his breeders from Rio Bravo.

If you are concerned do a search on the breeder over on the Fauna BOI. Someone selling snakes as Taras when they aren't will likely be outed pretty quickly. http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...splay.php?f=13

With the same gold flecking? For some reason I thought that was mainly Tarahumaras.

Tarahumara is a locality within the Sonoran Desert. For years, some people have incorrectly interchangeably claimed sonorans were tarahumaras and sold them as such, or bred them to tarahumaras. Hell, I caught a guy selling "tarahumara" babies from a female sonoran with a claimed tarahumara male.... I sold him the female.
Unless someone is buying directly from Vin or Gus, or who can show the applicable paperwork that confirms the locality, I would steer clear.

Very good info. Thanks for your input. Getting more and more into the locality species, and always learning more about them!

Definitely ask for papers. I have 2 of them. That one looks like it might be a one. Have to see it in better lighting.
