What's up with the vents/holes?
Just curious of why bps have vents on their mouths. Probably could have just googled it haha but hey this sight is more interesting. Also are they the only snakes with them?
Re: What's up with the vents/holes?
Pits* lol. Interesting. That's the only use?
Re: What's up with the vents/holes?
Hmm... I'm actually surprised that you've never heard of them. I grew up watching nature shows and snake heat pits are all the rage when they're showing how these guys hunt. They love to show off the "infrared night vision" that these things provide. Turn on a good snake documentary (or ...sigh... YouTube it) some time and be amazed. :D
Re: What's up with the vents/holes?
I mean I would thank you but now I'm just going to be up all night lol. Gee thanks a lot!

There was science involved...? In the mermaid thing...?!?! TBH I can't watch most of those channels anymore (not the least of which is cause I don't have cable ) but when people come to me and say "AP or Discovery said this about this" and it's something totally not right.... :rage:

Which is exactly the reason that Brian Barczyk, our own JLC, and others are in Africa right this very moment - to take a step towards bringing back the actually educational wildlife shows! :colbert2:
