So what's the question? Are you asking about visual markers for het pied?

You can't really go off of the markers. Some het pieds have the marker, some don't. Some animals that are NOT het pied will still have those "markers"!

As long as you purchased the animal from a respected and trustworthy breeder who stands by their genetics, you should be good. :gj:

Having "markers" doesn't mean the animal is necessary het pied. That is why it's important to purchase from a reputable, trusted breeder. As more and more genetics emerge, "hets" will undoubtedly be used more frequently in scams or to push the sales of animals. I always recommend avoiding deals that seem too good to be true! Why risk what seems to be a good deal and find out later it wasn't actually het? The time, labor and money invested on feeding isn't worth it in my opinion.

Was the snake sold to you as het or possible het? Talk of markers is pointless for a 100% het. And as others have noted the "markers" come with no guarantees.

Imo, I would ask the seller for pictures of the parents , preferably pics of the parents locked. Also ask him(the seller) if he can back up the genetics in writing as well . If he's going to sell the animal for what he says the genetics are then he should have no problem doing that for a customer. Good luck and I hope this helped. :salute:If he can't do these things , find another breeder.
