Someone's gonna shed soon :D. He's good lookin!

Thanks ! He's about four months old , I've had him for three weeks - so this is his first shed with me . His colors are usually much richer , I assume it's the impending shed that's dulled him out ?

Yea. The first shed usually has more to do with the snakes previous husbandry rather than yours. Good luck!

hah yeah i was thinkin about that too... Pandora and Apollo both know when they come into my room that there's mice. i let them roam around on my bed, wher my mice have never been. it's cute to watch Pandora stalk stuff... Apollo just sorta zooms around, crashing into my pillows. :? weird snake..

yea mine goes into my blankets and goes to sleep(well i dont really know???)

He looks like a real cutie. Just shoot us some more pics when he's got his new skin. :)

Yep , those cages are my pet rats - he doesn't seem to mind though , he's such a sweetheart .

They always look their best after a shed. And they're bigger too. ;)

Ooh you have pet rats too? lol lots of snake people have pet rats.. what's wrong with that? I have a dove rex and a blue point siamese. They're so sweet.. then there's my breeder rats. Not so nice.

Lol yep , pet rats . Jasmine is a PEW , Big Mamma a black birkshire , Lilo a silver berkshire , Honey a beige hooded , and a new doe , double rex dumbo - not yet named . My bucks are Al , agouti hooded , Joey is a beige , Punk a black berkshire , Myst a black self , and two young bucks not yet named - a black rex bershire , and a lilac rex . That's it ! lol

Wow you have a lot of rats. Mine's names are Renfield and Sardonicus. I named my breeder rats Yin and Yang. lol

Yeah , not only is it a cheap way to feed your snake , but they really make great pets too . :)

heh... see, i dont have rats. i have my 4 mice that i'm currently breeding. they're nice mice though... honest, they've never tried biting me!! :)

the mice are for Apollo anyways. he has a long ways before he's up to a bigger size than small feeder mice.

Yeah I find breeding rats to be well worth the time.. plus that, all my friends and their friends want to buy pet rats from me, and I sell excess as feeders as well.

ooo the pet store said they'd buy my mice from me. obviously not for THAT much, but if i ever have mice reproducing at a rapid pace... i have 3 pet stores who said they'd take them. i'll just auction them off... highest bidder wins :)

once i get another snake.... then the rats will be plentyful in my house!

All you need is two things. A male mouse, and a female mouse. :) My female mouse cranks out 10-12 pinks every three weeks.

I need another female mouse. I want a pretty one. I just have self brown ones. Blah. I'm going through 2 chubs and one pink every week now.

I just got my new ratty boys today. Elliott is a Mink Bareback Hairless Dumbo, and Willard is a Black Rex Dumbo. We already had a hairless male, Sneezy, and a agouti hooded female, Lloyd, and then there's Harry, who is a hairless also, we are pretty sure she is black with white feet, I just don't remember what that is called. We should have hairless babies soon, Sneezy and Harry finally figured it out, LoL. Don't ask about Harry and Lloyd's names, it's from Dumb and Dumber, and they are the epitome of goofballs.

I wish I could get a dumbo rat for a breeder. Rat breeders almost always make you sign something that says you won't use it for feeders, and none of the pet stores around here have any fancy rats other than hooded stripes, berkshires, and hairless. I'd also love to breed rex..
