    More fun mouse updates
Here's basically what I've been working on. Been playing around with the umbrous gene a lot.
Most of my bucks are well above 60 grams now, with some maxing out around 80 grams.

Here's 3 different kinds of umbrous chinchilla dilutes of some kind... One is a satin version of the other.

Here's a 'sable' doe I accidentally made along the way. Totally black on top fading into totally red on the bottom. Definitely Heterozygous umbrous here, lol.

From left to right here, Umbrous chinchilla, umbrous golden agouti, and cinnamon.

    Just for fun! Enjoy. :)

I hope these aren't food! They're super pretty...!!! If I was to have a tiny furry friend, I would pick one like this. They look so soft :)

Nice colors you have there. I wonder what the colors will turn out to be if you breed them to an albino :taz:

Albino just covers up all other colors, so they wouldn't change. :P

Wont the offsprings be a mix of brown and white?

No. Albino is c/c genetically. c/c turns the whole mouse white. If the mouse carries albino it would be C/c (the little c is albino gene, and the big C is no albino gene). If you carry albino, it does not show on your fur at all, it only shows if you have two small c's (c/c) which turns the mouse pure white with pink eyed. :)

I see thanks for the info. Does that also apply for pure black mice/rats or no?

Albino on all animal species, is a cover-up gene. When an animal has 2 copies of the c Albino gene (c/c) they turn pure white, but are still genetically whatever color they originally were, underneith the white. So a black rat, who has the albino gene, would still be genetically black, but you would only see the white with pink eyes. :)

Albino is probably the strongest gene I can think of, lol. It covers up all colors and interacts with none as far as I am aware (at least in rodents.)
