Were you at the expo too?

I chatted with Mike a bit, and talked to Carsten who sold me my coastal.

FrostyBP and I met at the Rodent-Pro table.

No, I didn't make it to the expo. I was supposed to go with a friend, but he had a death in the family that morning so it kind of changed plans for us. I hope to be at the Repticon in a few weeks though.

    Looking good man!

I hope you are healing up well. I really like your coastal. My younger girl is not that big yet but I suspect she'll get there. I'm glad they stay fairly slender bodied because watching them climb and perch in the enclosure is really entertaining. Mine is constantly moving from about evening until very early morning.

How are the rest of your snakes doing? Jungle shake the mites?

And of course the SD retic??

    Yeah,

I'll be going to purchase more feeders and maybe some other cage related stuff. I'm not able to get another snake which sucks, but I'm happy with the 3 we have now.

Peanut was fired up yesterday and flew out of the tank and grabbed my shirt. First time she has ever done that.... I did open the door without rubbing her with the hook....so mostly my fault for letting my guard down.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...2dc015cc36.jpg my girls new ij jag.malehttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...1673f7eb9d.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...96d32064bd.jpg last Monday I was pleading my case to get the burm...alp she say is I will skip my hair cut if you buy me him.....god I love her.....http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...dd5b4cdef3.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...4126bddefc.jpg finally killed the mite he came with 75 more days before he moves to new cage. Got him back on food to and he is filling out again.

Frosty- thanks for mentioning that surprise attack by peanut.

Soon I will be switching from a tank to a sliding door enclosure.

I did not think about maybe having to change my approach.

Now, as soon as she sees me across the room, she is defensive/apprehensive. As soon as I pet her from behind (coming in from the top of the tank) she immediately relaxes. I can come in the tank or pick her up, no problems.

With the new enclosure, I reckon I may have to go to a hook too.

    Re: My carpet progression thread
I use to use a hook on her all the time then I stopped for like the last month..it was the day before feed day to so she wasn't full.... Right after she let go she started cruising away and I grand her no problems so i think she was just in hunt mode and I wasn't paying attention. No harm done just a lesson learned
