My First Boa!
Well, I picked up my first boa a couple of weeks ago! I've wanted one of these ever since I realized something this pretty exists. She's a gorgeous baby Brazilian rainbow boa. I absolutely love her. (She's hanging out on my arm as I type this.) :)

Re: My First Boa!
Nice! I just got my first BRB about a month ago and they're great!

Thank you! I'm really enjoying having her around. She's so different than my ball pythons, it's a nice change. Not to mention she switched over to frozen thawed rodents right away.

For a first you have a Beauty there!

Haha, thank you! I looked at every single rainbow at the expo and she was the prettiest, so I had to have her. I looked at red tails too, but I really wanted a rainbow. :)

Thank you! I have her in a plastic tub with two hides and a large water dish with cypress mulch bedding. The humidity is at 90-100%, her hot spot is about 83 degrees and the front of her tub is generally 73-75 degrees. :)

Haha, thanks! She's even nicer in person. So shimmery. I think her rodent killing may be turning into rodent rekilling if she keeps eating frozen thawed rodents this easily (it's awesome having a snake that switched so fast, I had to argue with my ball pythons).

They are one of the most beautiful looking snakes , for sure and their "evening" colours are spectacular !

So nice to see them kept in high humidity as I've seen reports of so many keeping them in real low humidity setups but throwing in a most hide to ' keep them happy '. :(
PS. The BRB's are amazing in glass vivs where you can appreciate their stunning looks better ...especially their evening colours when they are more active anyway .

Edit --
- please read "moist" as opposed to "most" :)
