We have babies
Our eggs are finally starting to hatch....and one has come out. The pairing was our male pastel Orange ghost to our pinstripe poss het Orange ghost.
I ended up cutting the rest after one pipped....
Here is the one that is out, its a female. Please let me know if it is hypo...its hard to tell but has a lot of blushing

Thank you....I'm so happy. That's what I thought but wasn't sure since my female wasn't guaranteed to be het hypo 😀 we have another hypo pin poking it's head out.
-
That's so cute! More pictures please.

Re: We have babies
Absolutely.....just waiting for them to make their appearance 😀. Its so hard to not want to check on them every chance I get

Head markings are wrong for a hypo pin, looks like a lemonblast to me. It mightbe a hypo lemonblast, but Im leaning towards not. Still a good looking baby though.

You could be right, but I don't think the black looks black enough to not be a hypo.

I'm just excited for when more babies pop out!!! :D

Really, hmmm. I am betting against hypo becaue of how black the markings are especially considering they are this deep before first shed. We will see though.

We still have a lemonblast, a possible pastel Orange ghost and a pastel in the egg.
The lemonblast that is still in the egg is really bright yellow which is why I'm thinking the two pins aren't lemonblasts.

That's a good point, they always look real shiney like that before the first shed. I guess we'll have to see what they look like after.
(I'm still going with hypo though)

Re: We have babies
We still have 2 in their eggs but one doesn't even seem to be trying to get out. It is alive and has moved....but it is not even poking it's head out. When should I get concerned? Today is day 60

How long ago did you cut the eggs? I have had stragglers before that can take a week to come out.

He's probably still absorbing his yolk and once it's all gone he will be ready to come out :)

Re: We have babies
I just need to learn how to wait....plus I think it is a hypo lemonblast so I'm really anxious 😀
-
Re: We have babies
After looking at a lot of photos, I am starting to think they are lemonblasts and not hypo 😞 but I guess we will have to wait and see how they shed out

Re: We have babies
They are all out....here they are
The little 100% het hypo
http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9d2awfyp.jpg
Three, what I believe to be lemonblasts....still unsure about the hypo

http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/...pspmdwwuko.jpg
And Three, what I think May be pastel Orange ghosts.....the Orange they have is so bright and they have so much blushing

Now I just need to sex them....I'm not very good at popping since I got all female. I will try again once they shed
-
honestly little snakes are really easy to pop out so i bet you got all females. Waiting for the sheds to see if you actually hit the ghost!!!! :gj:

Re: We have babies

After seeing the latest pics I've got to agree, I was wrong earlier. It looks like you ended up with 3 lemon blasts and 3 pastels and one het hypo.
-
Re: We have babies
Thank you, After doing more research I also agree. I was hoping she would prove out but either way they are all healthy and het hypo. they are pretty little worms 😀
-
What a gorgeous group of babies. Congrats! :gj:
