    So here's where i'm at:

30gal tank, zoo-med repti-bark substrate, avg temp on the left is 79deg, 93 avg on the right. UTH pad is on the right side (hotter side, under his half-log). At night (12hr auto switch @ 8am/8pm), basking lamp switches to 100W infared. Temps remain or drop 2-3 degrees, haven't decided on which i'll stick with. Both lamps are controlled with dimmer switches. Humidity is generally 55-60%. On top of the lid that came with the tank, I laid another lid so there is about a 1inch gap between them. That way Ronin can't touch burning hot metal. Ronin seems happy overall, am I missing anything?

Yeah, ronin seems to love it too. He just sits on it and kinda in it most of the day. I wonder if it's "hide" enough though, because the top of it is open. Do you think that's enough to be a hide for the guy?

You might want to get a background for your tank (it's up to you if you want to cover one or 2 of the smaller sides as well).

The cage looks pretty nice and if the digi in the back is where you're getting your temps and humidity readings, it seems like you're in pretty good shape, though it seems unlikely that your humidity would be that high with the lamps.

I like your setup; I use cypress substrate too. I'd add a backgrouns, like one of those terrarium backgrounds with the leaves and stuff; it really does a lot for a naturalistic tank. not to mention it gives the occupant a more secure and private home.
