    Anybody else make lists?
Every time I find a reptile I just can't stop thinking about, I make a list. So far, 10 snakes are on this list x.x Oh my word, I am in trouble lol. Here it is:
    Black Blood Python
    Butter Ball
    Lesser Ball
    Albino Ball
    Brazilian Rainbow Boa
    Dumerils Boa
    Central American Boa
    Hog Island Boa
    Solomon Island Ground Boa
    Western Hognose
I spend every moment of free time reading care sheets, watching videos, and learning anything at all possibly relative to owning them so I'm ready. The addiction has begun...and I only have one BP that is actually MINE.. the rest of the snakes we have are split amongst the household... Oh, and I'll be adding certain lizards to this list as well...

    1.2 Normal
    1.1 Red-tail
    0.1 Albino corn

Every year I have a to buy list and a hold back list to further specific projects and to upgrade and expand my collection.

So yes there is a list. :gj:

I had a nice list of ball pythons I wanted to add this year, and then the Lacey Act list expanded to include retics. So, I picked up several retics and now my snake budget is tapped out until next spring.

I'd also really like to pick up a Dominican Red Mountain boa at some point, probably a male to keep as a pet and not for breeding.

Right now I have a male albino and female yellowbelly. I just can't get anymore right now. My mom would murder me. Seriously. But that doesn't stop me from having a list ;)

In the future I for sure want:

    - blue eyed leucistic ball (that's my dream snake!)
    - pied ball

Oh there's a list. Reptile expos always fall on my off weeks for being paid (curse you, biweekly pay schedule!) so it helps to have a ranked list of things I want and a vague timeline for when I want to acquire.

    BP morphs;
lavender albino, axanthic, champagne, banana, and fire.

    Other snake species;
High red BRBs, leucistic CRBs, Longicauda boas, IMG boas, and some motley boas. Reticulated pythons of various morphs come last, but they're definitely on my list.

    Lizards;
Leachianus, frilled dragons, various tree monitors (blue!), and armadillo lizards or sungazers (I think these are endangered, so idk if I'll ever get one).

The BP morphs are kind of ongoing and I'll get those as I find ideal examples of the morphs. The other snakes I'm thinking after I've started reliably producing with what I have and feel comfortable expanding, and the lizards as soon as I have a place with the space needed for some good setups. Can't just stick the lizards in bins, and I would want to raise my own feeders for them anyway. My husband has put his foot down on raising insects inside, so I'm good on waiting. My ultimate goal is to convince my husband we should both quit our jobs and open an exotic pet store :D

Nothing wrong with that. I have more snakes strictly as pets than as breeders.

Don't blame you, lots of animals can be really cool as pets and not very promising as far as breeding goes. The sungazers I mentioned only have 1 or 2 babies every other year. Awesome animals, less than ideal breeding. The frilled dragons are also pretty neat, but the holy grail of frilled dragons, the Australian frilled dragon, is hard to find and about 4 times the price of the new guinea variety when you actually find it. There's a specialty shop near me that has an adult Australian and it's a golden beauty that I just have to have...

I make lists all the time but the problem is they're always changing. On top of my list now is a desert ghost female and a carpet python to expand the collection a little.

I have an entire google doc spreadsheet dedicated to the animals I want and supplies I'll need... Probably have at least $10,000 worth of animals and supplies listed, if not more. My poor boyfriend just shakes his head every time I show him the updated list lol! Currently there are 45 snakes and 3 invertebrae on my spreadsheet. I spent quite a bit of time on it with all the info I could possibly need(species-morph/phase-sex-price-priority-picture ref-notes/other).
I think I may be just a little bit addicted. >.>

Perfectly normal. First twenty something years I was keeping herps they were all strictly pets. Would occasionally get offspring in communal setups but other than that it was simply the joy of keeping and interacting with each individual animal. I got into breeding because I wanted something and could only afford the ingredients. After those first eggs pipped I was pretty much hooked. Now I'm working on projects in 6-7 different species.

Only one animal on my list right now, male black-headed python. I would like to work with a smaller species of lizard that I've never kept before. Something like pink-tongued skinks, abronia, false chameleons, etc. They aren't on the list per se but if some nice CBB youngsters crossed my path, and I had the money to spend, I'm sure a semi-impulse buy would ensue.

These two you can pretty much combine as they are almost identical, in fact you can pair them to each other to get the super form aka BEL.

I definitely keep a list too as going to the reptile shows can be overwhelming (kid in a candy store) and I may forget what I'm on the hunt for next.

    Here is my current list:
    0.1 Leopard
    0.1 Clown (reduced pattern)
    0.1 Blade

I totally agree with you. At the top of my list was a clown ball python, but I recently bought a sugar het hypo, so now a male hypo is on the top. Still want that clown though. Cannot wait to produce leopard pastel clowns. My list pretty much consists of every ball python ever made (or yet to be made).

Geez, by comparison my list is quite simple. I just want one of everything:D OK, a bit more seriously now, I do have a list, but it's more for my someday wants rather than the immediate acquisitions. Those usually just happen as I'm walking through a show. As in "Oh wow that looks cool, I could put it with....." Or something along those lines.

If you're not living under her roof then it's none of her danged business how many snakes you have.
If you are living under her roof then you need to stop procuring critters and start working on a plan to move out.

My MIL also hates snakes. Had I known how much I would have bought the first one the day after getting back from my honeymoon instead of after a decade of being married.

As for my list, I really have to stop clicking on links to ads or pictures of what people are producing. I just added a Sterling BCI to my list today.

Oh. no she likes snakes she just LOVES making me miserable more lol I already spoke to several people who told me I could room with them and have no issues with me starting a collection as long as I demonstrate proper care, handling, and show them what they are being housed in( it would be a rack). A friend even told me her apartment complex said they don't care and won't charge me an animal fee because it only applies to cats and dogs(that's where the chihuahua comes in)...Needless to say, they want me to stay put but me thinky I'm leaving soon...

Besides catching garter snakes when I was a kid, this is my first real snake as a pet. I myself make lists, from supplies to morphs I would like to have in the future. Just one list guys?

I have notes and lists everywhere. Snake lists and notes scrawled on top of weaving drafts (since I haven't spent much time at the loom lately). One day several weeks ago, I was listening to HerpNationRadio, and some well known herp vet was on...can't remember his name, and don't ask me to find the notes - they are somewhere in the pile...

That got me started. Then, I was jotting down names of snakes I found interesting, for future lookup. That turned out to be maybe maybe every snake I actually know of. But, the Latin names were confusing to me. What's with the Boas??? Russo said boas were New World, but the Kenyan and Indian sand boas are of course, Old World... At that point, I had to get everything figured out taxonomically from family on down. Wiki was mostly consistant for this. But then, I started wondering, what does the word Drymarchian actually mean?, what does Lampropeltis mean??...and, how come we get Lamprophiidae for the African House Snake family, and Lampropeltis for the genus of King Snakes?...kind of confusing. I had trouble finding meaningful latin for other categories; apparently "coluber" simply means "snake" in Latin - not really helpful. I'm still mixing up the Emerald Tree Boa with the Green Tree Python, and the Amazon Tree Boa, but no worries; it's all (with the Latin) in the notes!

Yeah, but it's not really a diagnosis. It uses general relations to certain issues and behaviors to estimate your probability. I have been to multiple people and everyone has something different to say. One said depression, one said Aspergers, etc etc

Oh yeah .... The online tests are really just a good indication to wether you may or may not be Aspergers and to what extent .

I was pretty high up on the likelihood and was actually proved to be Aspergers .... It was a great relief as I knew I was very , very different to most people - there are things I struggled with but there are other things that I actually excel at ..

I read up and still do research the topic and it explains so much about me and my ways / preferences / obsessions etc etc

Or you don't want to know :)

What's to lose apart from 10 minutes of your life : )

Try a test online and it will tell you how LIKELY you are to being one of a select group :)

Making lists of anything / everything is a bit obsessive / compulsive and fits right in there ... That goes for any of you guys as well !!

OK, here is my wish list. It is in no particular order for acquisition (and, none of it may ever happen) - some of them like the Boeleni are expensive, and the Indigo would also require a license to keep. I hope the spellings are correct - I am a terrible speller.

    Ball Python: Python regis
    Angolan Python: Python anchietae
    Morelia boeleni
    Woma: Aspidites ramsai
    yellow Scrub, or Olive python
    Albino Burm: Python molurus bivittatus
Children's Python, or a Spotted Python: Antaresia childreni / Antaresia maculosa
Tarahumara Boa: Boa constrictor imperator mexico
    Surinam Boa: Boa constrictor constrictor
    Dumeril's Boa: Acrantophis dumerili
    Black Tail Cribo: Drymarchon melanurus
    Eastern Indigo: Drymarchon couperi
White-sided Bull Snake: Pituophis catneifer sayi
Cali King, or Mexican King: Lampropelitis getula californiae / nigrita
African House Snake: Lamprophis fuliginosus (family is Lamprophiidae, formerly listed as C)olubridae
    Candoia boa
