Anybody see the show last night ??
Well he was in australia after a huge type of python (i forgot the name) that can grow to be 20 feet long and lives in a valley somewhere in australia and i think he also said they are somewhat aboreal.
I got the first part of the show but then i had to go clean the new tank,so i didnt get to finish it.Darn :(
-
I beleive it was an anytheristine or anytheristic python or something like that. I fell asleep 2 minutes before it came on at 11:00pm. Please tell me how it went.
-
I didn't see last nights episode as I had to watch my other shows and forgot to set the TIVO, but I have watched him before...I love his shows, always interesting and educational.
-
Scrub (amethystine) Python mos' likely. I also missed this - thanks for the heads up will have TiVo look out for it.

Some news ...
It was pretty good last night. He did find a HUGE one way at the top of the trees.
-
That is crazy that suge big snakes can get that high up, how high was the tree ? i remember him saying that those trees were really really tall.
-
Those are some pretty snakes - I love the knucked look of their heads - been seeing them more often at shows as well.
(I'll sneak one in yet shhhh)
-
Yeah his show rocks, and last nights was pretty good. Im looking forward to next weeks with the Green anaconda :-)
The King brown last night was a awsome sight to behold.
Anyone catch Jeff Corwin last night at 5pm est he was also in australia and did a quick piece with a JCP that was about 6ft.
-
Nope, didnt see jeff last night, to bad, he rocks too.
I did see the king brown though, that was a big snake.
I would love to travel the world (well, i kinda already have) and photograph differnt snakes in the wild, that would be a dream.

Jeff Corwin is on right now! And there is alot of snakes in this episode!
-
I don't like Austin that much, Steve Irwin + Jeff Corwin kick his ass! I don't like Oh'Shea either...
-
-
Anyone realize yet that Austin loves smacking around snakes?
I think the show is faked, who saw him jump into the water and pull out that Gaboon with his bare hands.
-
ooo... musta missed that... hmmm, thats rather dangerous..
-
And him jumping into the water to wrestle with the anaconda wasn't dangerous =/
The show needs to focus less on the pointless action, and more on the snakes, and who the hell takes photos of venomous snakes from like two inches away.
He is abusive to snakes, hitting the king cobra for it to open its hood.
He is an excellent example for young kids to learn off.

Well, nowadays, television is more about competition. They're coming out with all these new peopple who go out and look for animals to do documentaries on them, or what have you. But, in the long run, the show is there to try and get higher ratings than another one. Austin Stevens is trying to become a better show than Jeff Corwin. Jeff Corwin came from the idea of Steve Irwin. Sure, hitting the cobra on the head just to p**s it off was wrong, but hey, maybe Steve Irwin never did. That's why they did it... to me, those shows are always cool to watch. but half of the time, it just seems so fake. they ALWAYS manage to find the animals they're looking for. Never fails... but in nature, how would that really work?? An anaconda knows it's going to be on TV, so it just slithers right up a river so Austin can find it?? Hmmm....
It's sort of like right now. My dad is up north hunting, and they haven't seen a single deer. The deer don't want to be seen, and i'm sure having humans around scares them. Wouldn't that same situation be for a snake, or bird, or lizard?? I don't know about you, but if i was an animal in Africa and i saw a human... my a** would be gone before they knew it.
-
The funny thing is, in every show he doesn't find the animal he is looking till the very last night.
You realize EVERY episode he says "This is my last day here, if I don't find it ... I will have to go home empty handed"
BOOYAKASHA, magically he finds it.

Standoffish Cresties
Dis Be Ali G - Booyakasha! Season 1 out on DVD and a movie as well I believe - Anyways I kind of agree that Austin can be hard on his subjects but a lot of that fake set-up (this is my last day here) is probably taped every day - it's all about the ratings - I personally like Corwin - Irwin gets old to me same stuff all the time plus Corwin used to be a herper! (perhaps still is?)
-
i agree. i like Jeff better.... at least he's funny. all Steve does is "CRINKY!" or whatever... :?
-
yea he supposably tired the anacoda out in the water that could have killed him w/ease!
-
New Member of the Family! :)
I actually think Jeff Corwin is the better of the lot. he can be pretty funny and doesn't really appear to be THAT staged in his shows. Well of course, sometimes it does seem staged, but what can you expect on TV anyways? I just like him because he is pretty funny and cracks horribly lame jokes. :D

actually its "crikey"

I think Austin Stevens is fake. I saw him pull a boa off a tree, then fall into the water while holding it, and it just sat there, he later decided to take pictures of the same snake, but yet it viciously startewd biting him, after it just showed him holding it? What a bozo. I like it when they pretend the anaconda attacks him, then he holds it like nothing happened.
-
The show is on right now, me and my grandpa just saw him fall into the water.
