What kind of snake is this?
Didn't know where to post this.
Friend posted it on fb and said "my friend killed this monster rattlesnake at his farm"
First off I know for sure this isn't a rattlesnake, so what kind do you think it is?

Hard to tell from the photo. Just a educated guess, I will go with hog island boa! A escaped pet that obviously has been living wild and thriving. Peace.:O
Re: What kind of snake is this?
Kinda looks like a dumarils boa to me

Everybody in North Carolina knows the name "Copperhead"... It's used to describe every snake in existence, and is usually used as grounds for killing any snake that is come across. Black snakes, brown snakes, green snakes, yellow snakes, white snakes, blue snakes, lizards.... Everything is a Copperhead

Lol in Florida, as it slowly becomes more and more city than anything, fewer and fewer people know that stuff. In my experience it's just rattle snake or moccasin. It doesn't help when the racers and rat snakes will vibrate their tales if you catch or corner one :(
