Outside fun/partial collection update
We had a really nice day today, so I decided to take a couple of the snakes out to stretch.
(Pics taken with an iphone unknowingly set on square mode. My apologies.)
Here's the guy who started it all: my 4-year old normal male, aptly named Houdini. He's gotten out of secure enclosures more times than I can count, which has produced many funny stories. He's also the most active of any snake I own (boas and colubrid included) so that's why he's rarely properly photographed. Managed to snap one today, though.

Luna, my one-eyed lesser girl. She's sweet and feisty at the same time. Always fun opening her tub. The first photo has such weird yellow lighting. That's why I moved to a different part of the house for the rest of the pics

Cid, my lovely pied male. The most annoyingly picky feeder I have. Will only take rat pups -- when he feels like it. He's as sweet as can be though.

Twix, my mystery caramel albino gal. She's a new addition. Got her from Chris at Slowcountry balls, and the purchase has been nothing but a pleasure. She's a good eater with a wonderfully feisty personality. Love her purple hues in the sunlight.

Lucy is a big girl! I don't know if anyone else has heard of this, but are pieds prone to being fussy eaters? I read it somewhere...the rainbow boa is so gorgeous, you got a real stunner!

My pied was an amazing eater when he was a hatchling, and Lucy was finicky (born same time, both arrived at 100g). Funny how they switched - he's super picky and she's eaten herself into a monster.

Those are some nice looking snakes. Your low white Pied male has a great pattern (I'm partial to low white Pieds) and that baby Rainbow Boa looks good. I really like the picture of Twix on the wooden boards. Keep me updated on her.

Thanks! As you know, the photo on the wood shows her truest color, but the direct sunlight shows beautiful purple hues that I love. I'll definitely keep you updated.
I'm partial to low-whites myself. Here's a photo of that leopard pied that I told you about. Not low white, but she was definitely beautiful

Nice snakes and I love that pic of the cat licking the snake and the snake balled up like its a taste test :rofl:Also my pied girl has more feeding drive than either of my BCI boas. She is more or less my garbage disposal :rage:

Ahaha yeah she's crazy... Goes nuts when she sees a snake, she'll jump up and run full speed just to come lick it.
I'm super jealous of your pied! My hoggie is my garbage disposal, would much prefer it to be my pied :)

Figured I'd break out the scales again. Only the ones at my house are pictured, I'll have to get the others weights tomorrow. Looks like I got some really good gains and some not so good gains. Everybody gained though! Sorry for the bad pics, it's nighttime and inside light sucks.

- Your het Pied girl is one of the prettiest "normals" I've ever seen.
- Love that little BRB! They look so goofy at that age, with their head way bigger than their body.

Yes, that's why I like her so much! I got her from a member here, slow country balls (though I got her at a local repticon). He posted a thread on the whole genetic ordeal. If I can remember correctly, he bought the two parent snakes as double het albino pied. He bred them together and got albinos, normals, and then this girl and another like her. So she's still kind of a ~mystery~. One thing I've noticed is that she sheds completely clear (as far as I can tell), but she has the characteristic red pupils of an albino. Only time will tell! I can't wait until the second clutch from her parents is out!

Got this pretty lady as a replacement for the leopard pied that died last year. So far she hasn't taken a meal (2 weeks) but I hope we can get her eating soon!

Yeah no luck so far! She was on live and I have no live source around me, unfortunately. Not much interest in f/t from her.
I got her from Mack Robinette, he's the one who sold me the Leo pied who died and he finally replaced her with this lady.
She's done better so far, she's passed a few BM's/urates and is drinking well. Also shed a week or so ago.
Twix is doing good, also. She's in the running as my lead trash can, lol. Better knock on wood though, they always seem to stop eating when you're proud of them for being good.
I'll get a good pic of her for you soon

My pieds are the best eaters; Littlest dude went from 100g to 1000g+ in a mere 9mo, sperm plugs and getting himself primped for the ladies. Ball pythons do what they want, when they want.

I guess you just plug the camera into a laptop and use the app to transfer them? I mean the iPhone is easy but I'm u sure about how to do it once I bust out my digi cam

Thanks! I just logged in Tapatalk and thankfully they show up here
ETA: yeah, when I take photos on my camera I upload them to the computer, then upload them to an image hosting site (Flickr). I have the Flickr app on my phone, so it's easy to save them from there.
It's the easiest, most hassle-free method I could think of. Works perfect for me.

An update:
Easel the rainbow boa passed away. I couldn't afford a necropsy, but due to her symptoms I assume she just had a failure to thrive. Her breeder is a really great guy and we've worked something out - I'll be getting another sometime this year, or early next year.
Due to financial issues, I had to sell off a few of the remaining snakes. Motley (motley boa), Twix (caramel albino bp), the unnamed female pied, and the unnamed male mojave calico.
So my collection now consists of
1.0 pied, Cid
0.1 genetic banded het pied, Lucy
0.1 one-eyed lesser, Luna
1.0 normal, Houdini
1.0 Hog island boa, Rocky
0.1 corn snake, Olive
