Can this Bumblebee have something else?

I have this bumblebee and i want to know if it could have something else on it
cus i been searching some bumblebees pics and they look darker than mine
here is a pic of mine so you guys can judge!!

mine is definitely brighter and it has not lost its color like other BBee its at 400 grams

Looks like it could be a fire bee. What was the pairing?

I dont know i got it from a small breeder but he said it is a bumblebee
but the reason im nit sure is cus i do have a female bumble bee and it waaaaaaay darker

Well it's definitely a pretty little thing. It is a bit lighter than my little bumblebee though. Her black is solid.

my bee didn't start going brown until about 800 grams, yours does look really bright tho

I second this looks really clean to be just a bumble bee

It looks a lot like my BB Male. He Is about 1.100g And didnt Brown out. I paired him to my lesser female, we will see whats coming out :)

Yea there's something else going on there. What it is for sure there's no telling but if that's just a Bee its the hottest one I've seen in a long time.

Yeah, thats definitely nice.

Could be just a bee from a reduced parent

Definitely does not look like a regular Bumblebee. I would guess there is another gene at play. Maybe something subtle that the breeder couldn't tell was in their animal. Looks like a Bumblebelly, but could be a bunch of different things.

The breeder was like 18 years old he didnt seem to have alot of expirience he sold me this bee and a banana for 250

Actually I think fire as well the belly doesn't look totally right for yb.

i also think might be a fire like gene or maybe specter which act like a cleaner gene as well

Is there any way i can prove which genes it carries?
or i will never know?

Yeah, breed it...

Wow that is beautiful!! I really want a bumble bee

Breed it to a fire and see if any supers come out

Hell even breed it to a normal and you should see a pretty good break down of all his genes

I will breed it to a fire! Would be cool to produce some super fires !!

Normals are not too hard to come by.

I know right im start looking for one locally

It looks like a high quality BB to me it could just have a higher quality line of pastel I have seen Some bees with other types of pastel and they look alot like yours. Only way to find out is breed. And normal will give you a gene breakdown pretty well.

I was thinking this as well. I had a lemon that never really faded at all. I mean, small time breeder or not, if he got as far as breeding I would imagine he would pay attention to if he bought a fire?? Who knows though. Either way, that is a SMOKIN' bee :cool:
