I got some ZooMed Reptibark for a substrate. The Zoomed websight says its made from Fir bark but smells a whole lot like Ceder :?: . Does any one here use this stuff and is it safe???? Please help
-
yup, it is good. I have been using it the whole time with Kitty and no problems, though I do not feed on it. Oh, wow, I just noticed, you are right near me :) I was down in Brandon for training for work a couple of months ago. Cool

Thanks that takes a load off of my mind .Small world. Where in Brandon were you and what type of work do you do ???
-
Well, I think I was more in Pearl, thats where the hotel was, as far as I remeber, but we went to Brandon to the training center for a week. I work at a bank.

Realy; well I grew up in Pearl and my parents still liver there, and I too work for a Bank thats crazy. You more than likely stayed at one of the hotels right off the interstate by the big Riverwind development.

notice how they went totally off subject

yeah, we got excited. Actually happens a lot in the forums, from some things I have seen. It was kindof random that we are so close to eachother. Does anyone else have any comments about the Reptibark?

I use it for my corn snake, and it works really good. I do not feed on it though, and would not recommend it. The only complaint I have with it, is it can be a little dusty when pouring it into your snakes cage, but other than that it is a good substrate to use.

Thanks. We kinda went off subject. I was worried because it smelled just like ceder and we all know that is a big mistake. But after reading the bag it came in I see that the first line says "100% Fir bark". That shows how well I paid attention.. LOL Thanks for all the help
