Is this normal?
I fed him yesterday. I feed him once a week. He poops weekly. I noticed today while I changed his water, he looks swollen/bulky around his tail. Is that normal?

I threw away his log hide cause I found mold on the ends, so had to make a hide box quick lol Don't judge please ;(

Hey, we need a closeup of that vent area and also a closeup of the whole animal. What are the other specifics in your setup and husbandry? What morph is this? Male / female? Weight ? Its hard to tell right now. Prematurely it could be just a vent irritation with some localized swelling. How long has the animal had this? Worse case scenario, prolapsed cloaca or infected hemipene if male. Either way start implementing some immediate changes to the enclosure as you already have. Switch to paper towels after you disinfect that enclosure with a 1:10 part solution of bleach to water and rinse the enclosure well before placing him or her back in. Light warm soaks in separate tub with betadine in the water so the water is tea colored. This is just a preliminary basic treatment. Consider a herp vet soon. Consider Neosporin ointment in between the betadine soaks. Good luck. Stay in peace and not pieces. A.C. :gj:

Re: Is this normal?
The snake looks totally normal and like it's going to poop soon. No reason to recommend any of that medical stuff... It'd just stress out the snake and serve no real purpose.

Sausage butt! The first picture did look odd, though I think it was just a weird angle or something which is likely why AC thought it might be something worse.

Yes, it did look suspicious at the initial angle and photo. This looks absolutely normal. Kudos to who recognized it as a precursor to a bowel movement! Thanks C2tcardin.

It had me wondering too for a few minutes, it did look like the start of a prolapse.

Please disregard everything this person said. Cleaning with a bleach mix, betadine water soaks and neosporin?? really....:colbert:. My guess is its poop or sometimes the Urate can be a bit big and can be hard to pass, but it will pass. You can gently massage your snake while holding his lower half in some luke warm water and you will be able to feel the hard urate ball in there. Plus the massage will help him pass the stool.

Everyone's input was appreciated. Thanks. I think it's just poop, he didn't poop his last meal yet but he recently urinated last night, all I found was a chunk of white stuff.. not the regular brown poop lol.
