HEATING PAD GRRRRRRRRRRR

    i am having a problem with the human heating pad i bought at wal mart...it was recommended to me by many people on this board...but when i leave it on, the heat fluctuates so much. It was 87 this morning and when i came back 2nite it was 97.....what the heckkkkkkk

    i justh ave it plugged into the wall...it had a "temp" control on it.....just a low med and high setting

    yeh
    it will go for days at a time at perfect temps and then all of the sudden will shoot up
    i turned it off for a while and then turned it back on and now its going back up....its at 94 right now

    Do the room temperatures the enclosure are in fluctuate as well?

    the room temps dont fluctuate much at all...but it seems that wouldnt be the problem bc only the hot side is shooting up......i added more substrate to see if this may help

    www.lllreptile.com has them for 14 bucks... I was going to buy one but my temps don't fluctuate much from 94/84, so I'm good to go. I'm a college student also, no job right now because I don't have time. I just do odd jobs around the house and for other people and just save up.

    i second a thermostat and proper ventilation will solve/prevent alot of headaches and problems.
