Finally!!

It's been a long while since I posted anything new, but I'm super excited to share my latest update, with currently having a total of 9 ball pythons now, I have FINALLY switched to racks! The most exciting part about it is that I got to personally meet the owner of boa master! Congrats, racks are so much easier to deal with. How you made it to 9 BP's before switching is impressive too, I gave up on tanks after 2. LOL

There's a whole lot of tanks lol, take up entirely too much space! Went back to visit mark at boamaster and ended up with a adult male and female fire pair today [emoji6]

Congratulations on your purchase. That is, both the snake(s) and the rack system. If you're going to come home with a new snake every time you visit a reptile store, you will need a lot more racks. :P

Why???? .... I have several rack systems that do not require holes in the tubs .... It all depends on how the rack is built ... It is up to the handler to monitor the humidity and find out how many, if any, holes are required to reach your desired humidity ... Size of gap where the tub meets at the top, size of heat tape, and room the rack is in all come into factor for this .... Sometimes holes simply are not required

There are lids on the tubs. If there are no holes how are the snakes going to get air?

I think, and I'm not trying to speak for someone else, it was because the tubs all have lids on them. I noticed the same thing but figured she may have done the same thing I do and that's to put the holes running along the side of the tubs, not the front facing portion of the tub. I like it this way as it looks cleaner to me not seeing the holes.

Congrats on the new rack! .. I remember when I finally switched over to racks ... SO MUCH EASIER!!!

Yes, my holes are down the sides simply because I don't like the look of the holes in the front, just my personal preference though

Good observation lol ...... I didn't notice there were lids on them at my first look, but you are correct ... Therefore making your previous statement perfectly justified .... That's what I get for jumping on here before I fully wake up haha

Looks a bit too humid, unless of course that's intentional for a soon to be shedding snake. I usually add more holes to mine when I see that much condensation. Just my $.02 though.

I'm still in the process of getting them set up properly, but I plan to add more holes, I'd rather start out with too few and be able to add more if needed than to start out with too many [emoji6]

Perfect, that's the best way to do it. It looks like you're drilling the holes out? If so it's really easy to pick up a cheap soldering pen from Radio Shack and just melt the holes, its much easier, cleaner, and no sharp edges either. :gj:
