Awfully late post, but my first boa: Nylah (Dial-Up Warning!)
Laziness and procrastination got the best of me. I got my newest (as of now) snake, and my first boa, Nylah, some time right before Halloween last year, but neglected to even post about her here on the forum. Yes, I know, such a disgrace. But nonetheless, better late than never. Plus, as a bonus, I've had this entire time to take pictures, especially since I got a new camera in that time period! :D
Nylah is your average female Boa constrictor imperator. No het genes or anything. I absolutely fell in love with the boa personality, as they are seemingly so inquisitive and aware of things, even checking things out, yet lazier than my ball pythons when out and a more suitable "lap-snake." (Unlike the ball pythons, I have yet to wrestle the boa out of the couch!) Also, interestingly enough, after weeks of constant handling and having to interact with her, she may be hissy when first prodded in the cage, but yet as soon as she smells my hand, she calms down immensely and stops being grouchy, nervous, or hissy. (Even when the gentle poking and prodding resumes!) Owner recognition, possibly? I wouldn't know.
Also, as you'll find out, I absolutely love taking pictures of her, as she is both beautiful and much more willing to cooperate than the ball pythons. I suppose this will be her official thread, with both progression updates and pretty pics done for fun.

    Anyway, pics!

When I first got her; penny for size comparison: (Cell phone pic)
She was exactly 24 inches/2 feet when I got her. Can't forget an easy number like that!

Some outdoor shots on my snake hook a few days later before things got cold. Again, cell phone pics:

Then, something magical happened: someone gave me a camera for Christmas!
After Christmas time, with me learning how to photography:

She was also up to around 27 inches at the time those pictures were taken, which lead up to around the second week of January.

And then I neglected my camera for nearly a month...

And as she grows, so does my photography skills. She is currently around 29 and a half inches. I can't wait until she gets bigger!

Anyway, today, I blew the dust off the camera and took a crap-ton of pictures of a few of my pets, including Nylah, and have things better figured out with picture taking.

You know, my mom did just say I should take some of my pictures, frame them, and sell them at the expos, so you never know...
