Hey all, Well I went out just to browse today, I went to a couple of different reptile shops the first one was closed so the next one I went to something caught my eye. They had a pair of Coastal Carpet Pythons, just little guys I asked to hold one because Carpets are on my shortlist of snakes that I want.
Well the first one they got out was very cranky kinda reminded me of Nanners (my Cali king) he was striking like crazy. So I asked to see the other one it was allot calmer but very inquistive reminded me allot of Jay when I first got him especially the prehensile tail but more slender.
I was holding it for a while talking to the guy and eventually he asked if I was interested in the snake. I said well yeah, I then told him the story about Amy and how that sucked but that I did now have an extra enclosure at home now.
So long story short I now have a Coastal Carpet, like I said he/she is still just a baby probably about 12"-14" long. I don't have pictures yet but I am gonna try to take some tomorrow and post them. How soon can I have he/she sexed? The guy told me that it was about 2-3 months old and that I should wait at least another 2 or 3 months to have him/her sexed.
So thats my story for today :D

1 carpet python, actually (the yellow and black kind) Saw one at a local shop and it was STUNNING.
I like snow boas. Nope, love them. If I ever have a lotta extra money, I will have one.
1 female bearded dragon to rbeed w my male in a few years

I think I seen a carpet python on this show and it was byting everyone and they were bleeding those things have teeth right because this snake did and I saw one at a herp show. I don't know if I want a snake with big teeth quite yet.
MY lis is:
woma python
jackson chameleon
goliath bird eater
beardie
red tail boa
reticulated python(when I settle down and know I can afford it)
I never want to own hots but maybe someday.
-
My current list:
Another ball...or two or so...
Cresties or Gargoyles, possibly both
Standings Day Gecko (I really like some of the other day gecko species, but I think one you can hold would be easiest in case of escapees)
Green Tree Pythons, although I want to start out with an ATB, since they're supposed to be easier to start out with
In the case of the geckos, I'd like to start out and then try breeding. I may also try to breed balls in the future. I also plan on starting out with the cresties or gargoyles before I make a move on the day geckos, becuase I think they'd be easier.

Congrats on the new addition!! I ran into a guy the other day who had a costal around his neck while he browsed for enclosure furniture and picked up some rats it was very inquisitive and seemed very mellow... he said it got that way as it got older but was a nippy young'n. :) congrats!!
