Re: Looking for baby ball python pls(:
Or is it a better idea to buy the baby from a online website

Re: Looking for baby ball python pls(:
I Suggest Trying to find a reptile expo near you, that way you can see all the different morphs in person!
-
Depending on where you are I second the checking for a local reptile show, Repticon is one that comes around here a few times a year.

Re: Looking for baby ball python pls(:
I mean I looked for shows, and the reptile stores don't have babies that my only problem ): I want to be able to raise it on my own . I live in allen texas

Repticon will be in Dallas in April on the 18th and 19th. If you can't hold off till then then I tend to stick with some of the more reputable breeders when going online. I would stay away from sellers who's line of business is also selling supplies etc as I've heard questionable things about the health of the animals.

Re: Looking for baby ball python pls(:
That looks a little sketchy to me but I have never heard of them so maybe they're fine. If you're ordering online I'd suggest BHB reptiles, Ben Siegel reptiles, etc
-
I've never dealt with them before but $20 for a Normal is right, my only concern is the same as I stated before, they sell a lot more than just BP's and that always concerns me. Perhaps someone else will chime in that has bought from them before. My suggestion would be to contact any of the breeders who advertise here on BP.net as I'm sure they would have Normals for sale and you have a better chance of getter a healthier, well cared for animal.
BTW: forgot to say welcome to the forum and the addiction!

If you're on Facebook try to find a local reptile forum for your area. Not all small breeders attend every expo. I've done a few but will be skipping the next one, I don't have enough babies left to bother with vending at it.

How old/what size do you consider a snake to be a "baby?"
-
I also recommend reptile expos. You get to talk to the breeder and ask them your questions. Whoever is friendly, helpful, and has a cool baby for a good price for you, I would say go for it. Getting contact info and asking if you can call or e-mail them if you have any problems or questions is something that could really come in handy. Most breeders I've talked to are VERY friendly, and willing to help you out! Those are the types of folks I like giving my business to.
Look up "reptile expo texas" or something along those lines to find breeders near you.
As mentioned before, looking for a reptile or ball python group in texas on Facebook is helpful too.
You can also shop around online, but I recommend you do a search on the breeder who is selling the snake to make sure they have a good reputation.

We're expecting our eggs to hatch in two weeks and we live in Houston, TX. (: If you're willing to travel we can keep you updated

Most ball pythons people have for sale are going to be babies. Approximate ratios I've found is about 20 baby ball pythons to every one adult I've found for sale. As long as they don't say adult or sub-adult, assume it's a baby for sale. I can't believe no one has said so yet, but the NARBC is coming to Arlington next month. It's the biggest convention to come through the Dallas area and it's an amazing thing to see if you haven't been to a reptile show before. Lone Star Reptile Expo and Repticon are smaller shows also in the area (Farmer's Branch), I think those two alternate by month but the next one of their shows isn't until March (NO ONE can compete with the NARBC when they roll through town).
I really recommend going, it's such an awesome experience and so many really experienced breeders will be there.

Re: Looking for baby ball python pls(:
I live in Fort Worth and have a couple babies available. If what I have is not what you are looking for, I can point you in the direction of a bunch of local breeders that will. Shoot me a PM

Anywhere between free and $100 (possibly more) depending on the animal (age, sex, breeding ability, etc) and who you know. Hatchling males on the low end - proven females on the high end.

Re: Looking for baby ball python pls(:
It depends on your area and the age of the animal, but I'd say $20-$50 for a normal morph.
Edit: Dang Eric, you're just one step ahead of me today! =P
