New to the forum, any my bp eating her second rat! :)

Well, my name is Dustin, im 16, live in San Diego CA, my BP, doesnt have a name because i dont know the sex but im assuming it is a female.
I've had my BP since the end of July. she has been on mice since then until two weeks ago. She started off on one of petco's common mice, then stepped up to two, she ate two for about 4 weeks and last week i fed her a small rat, and this week as well, those pictures are from friday.

How old is your bp though? Was she like 4 months old when you got her, or what?

unfortunatley i didnt know really any place to get a BP so i got them from PETCO, but when i brought it into a reptile specialist he said they were probably all born in april-june so i dont know, ha thats petco for ya.

btw my BP is getting bigger since she has been on those rats, she probably(in size) went from being (the fatest part of her body) about the size of a quarter to the size of a fifty cent piece or a little bigger.

but just curious, and this applies to Schlyne too, what makes you assume it is a male/female? 8)

The shape of his tail and the anal spurs. (which isn't quite reliable, considering how young my bp is). Here's hoping I'm wrong though :P If it turns to be female, it'd be one less female to buy if I decide to breed down the road.

Chong, i am assuming my BP is a female because when i first got her she would make little burrow looking things in the bark, im guessing like when they burry eggs, you know? and then someone told me that doesnt really mean anything, so i read up on BP's and that males have short stubby tails and females have a little bit longer ones, my friend has a male BP and his bp's tail is short and stubby, so i was guessing it was kinda true, I thought mine was a girl, but since i got my mortal kombat game i kinda just blew the facts off, so i just said it was a male and named my bp after one of the characters, Havik, lol. so my BP has remained sexless and nameless since i got it, ALSO in another forum someone said it looked like a female as well so i was like ok a female then, i just finally aggreed it was a female. thats why, lol.

oooooo your bp is gona be a fatty!! that's a nice sized rat she took down!! i love when they eat big stuff... i want my snakes to get really fat. bwahahaha

my BP vale is unsexed too. ive gone through various books and they seem to be giving different info on the sex. one book says the shorter tail is male while another says female so its really hard to judge by the tail.
so if anyone knows for sure which is which, please advice. its kinda hard for me to find a reptile vet in my area so probing is out of the question for me.
