Is a 32qt tub too small for a 1500g female?
I am looking at purchasing reptile basics 32qt sweater box tub this week. I know that both of my current snakes will fit just fine in them but the guy selling the rack also has a 1500g female that he is willing to part with as well. Is she too big for the Iris MCB-L sweater box rubs?

This would be my first rack. I just want to make sure that she would be ok in it before I worry about purchasing her with the rack.

You will probably have to go bigger in the future, so just bear that in mind if you do go for it. She may be okay for a while now, but that might not be the case in 9 months time.

while yes she will be fine, 32qt racks are great for adult males and 41qt are generally used for big adult females.

I am planning on building a rack to hold a few 41qt tubs before the end of this year. I just wanted to be sure that she would be okay in the 32qt for the time being. If it's likely that she isn't, then I wont purchase her for her sake.

if you do buy her, I suggest taking her out at least a few times a week that way she has room to stretch as she will not have a whole lot of room in the tub

That wont be a problem at all once she has a few days to settle in. I can't stand to not get at least one out everyday after they've eaten for the week. I enjoy playing with them.

I've never had a problem with any of them in a 32qt.

While she will be fine in that size tub, she should be quarantined away from your two current snakes for at least 90 days. So, you can't just bring her home with the rack and put your other two snakes into it with her right away.

I have several 1500 to 1800 grams females in 32 quarts tubs, yours will be fine.

My other two will be staying in their current tanks which are in a different room than the one I am going to place the rack in.
