Do Soul Suckers wobble?

I've bought a male soul sucker december 6th, my more expensive snake, everything looked normal, except he had mites, i gave the snake a bath and used some "kill mite".Removed his water, gave him another bath 2 days later.
Mite problem is over, today i checked him and he was with his head upside down, twisting like he's gonna break his own neck...
Took him in my hands he stopped for a while.
I'll let him in quarantine for a while.
Are soul suckers prone to head wobbles like spiders?

I wouldnt think so.......

soul sucker is a hidden gene woma lesser, so yes it wobbles just like a spider. Hidden gene womas are known to wobble.

Oh OK. I have zero interest in HGW so I didn't know if the wobbled for sure or not.

OP Spider is my probably my favorite morph. I have 6 animals with the Spider gene in my collection, but I do not own a Spider that corkscrews all of mine have minimal to zero visible wobble.

It's usually nothing at all to worry about, was it just that episode or is he showing severe wobble on the regular now?

I have a 13` male soul sucker but he has no problem at all.

I saw a video on youtube with a wobbling woma but I thought woma and hgw were 2 different morphes.
I hope it s the woma wobble rather than an IBD..
It s really impressive i thought he was about to convulse and die.
It s not regular at the moment...

While they are different morphs, both woma and hidden gene woma wobble, along with spider, champagne, powerball, and super sable.

Every single one of those are awesome morphs, lol. Wobble away.

Possibly this should go into a different thread, but does anyone know if these lines can be line bred to reduce the wobble? I know it's part of the gene so there isn't a way to get rid of it entirely, but if selective breeding can greatly reduce the visible occurrence, that's something I would like to explore.

No you can't reduce the wobble. It's a reality of keeping certain morphs.

If you do your homework on the particular animal you are buying and realize you often get what you pay for it's not really an issue.

I have multiple Spiders, Spider combos with NO visible wobble at all, zero, zilch. I also have a couple where it is noticeable, like a head bobbing during feeding. None of my spider combos have actually EVER corkscrewed. I hope to breed them because I really like the way they look and it's a real possibility that I'll hatch some wobblers. It's just a fact. I actually stayed away from certain morphs when I first started building my collection because people talk about it likes its a really BIG DEAL, I can honestly say it isn't, ALL my Spider animals feed like pigs and have excellent growth to boot. I also read they are solid breeders.

I haven't seen a honest effort to reduce the wobble in any morph. We have all observed a no wobble animal producing corkscrewing animals and vice versa, but a long term generational selective breeding program I have yet to see anyone put out public information, so I don't see any evidence to say whether it can or cannot be done.

Personally our original spider is about the best candidate for no wobble animal as it gets. but her offspring have varied from low wobble to corkscrews, which we have kept one of the corkscrew animals (bumblebee het hypo) he has since produce an apparently no wobble humblebee, never seen a trace of it in her yet. So the expression of the wobble has jumped all over for us.

My Cinnabee does a really subtle wobble sometimes, no corkscrew though lol. Nothing to worry about really.

I'm not sure about power ball or sable, but I know if you breed a HGW to itself, woma, champagne, or spider you have a chance at producing a pearl which is what Kevin McCurley calls a "neurological nightmare" and is a lethal gene but a little wobble from a hgw shouldn't be a big deal.
