    Pale BP morphs
I'm looking to add a new BP to my home. I'm not interested in breeding I just want a nice looking pet. I've been searching through morphs for months. I lobe BELs but something is just missing for me. I like to have a bit of pattern.

I really like the look of queen bees and axanthic bees but I can't find many pictures of adults. I know a lot of axanthics brown out.

Anyway what I am looking for is a pale morph with some pattern and very little if no yellow. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Try looking at crystals or mystic potions. Perhaps if you want just a splash of color, look at bumblebee or spider pieds. Usually they have just a ball cap of color on. Check out sterlings and champagne combos also.

What about a Super Fire? Some of them come out solid white, but others almost have a pied-look to them. I also second the Purple Passion / Mystic Potion suggestion!

Ok after sleeping on it I think I'm going to go mystic potion.

Though the queen bees are nice. I guess it will depend on what is available next season. Pickings are slim right now with winter. Plus I don't like shipping in this weather.

If anyone has any more suggestions I am totally open :)

Mystic potion or Crystal sound like what you're looking for.

Go to the next reptile expo in your area and look at them in person.

If you are looking for something under $200 you can get a lesser bee. Many are really pale with nice almost chocolate colored spider patterns

Do they keep those colors as they grow? Or does more yellow come in?

I guess I forgot a budget. I'm hoping to spend no more than $500, as is this will be a pet.

I guess I could go $600 if it's really awesome.

Is my logic correct that is a BP is pale as a baby with little yellow, they are likely to be a pale adult?

There's a nice pastel lessor for sale near me that is pretty pale with very little yellow.

I was going to say Lesser Bee as well. If you start with the whitest one you can find it shouldn't yellow up too much. Now if you want the perfect pale snake and money is no object, then this might do it. http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...-yellow-belly/

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Be careful with that. I'm looking just like you and went to my first expo. I almost walked out with 5 bps!

    Very nice!

I like the BELs but I would like a bit of pattern as well. I like super mojave BELs with their grey head.

I absolutely love mojaves and I like what hypo does to morphs. I've been looking at hypo mojaves which ends up leading me back to mystic potions for a nice pale mojave morph.

I have 2 lesser/butter bees. One sold to me as a butter bee, got more yellows and "browned out" as she got older but the other sold as a lesser bee actually became paler as he aged. He's now like an off white with Carmel colored markings. They are different lines of the same gene but I think depending on the line you get, it will change how it ages
butter bee when I first got her (I have no pics of her browned out)

After a lot of thinking, I think I am going to go with a queenbee or a lessor bee if I can find a really light one.

Now I just need to find "the one" and get my AP cage set up.

Thanks to everyone for their help!

Another option....If you're not planning to breed. You can pick up a female Desert combo for really cheap. Female desert/combos haven't produced viable clutches and are therefore usually really affordable pets. Very pretty animals.
