    Ovi or gravid?
She has been pairing since July and hasn't eaten for the past month. Today....

If she hasn't been this big already since you started pairing, it would be an ovi.

Can we get a look at her tail?

Also if it lasts longer than 24 hours it will likely be a huge build.

I have a female who fools me every year with those.

today when I got home from work, she had crammed herself into her water dish to soak herself. Is this normal?

Probably just building if she is in her water bowl. Normally they will not move off of the heat after they ovy.

The easiest way to tell if your snake is in ovulation is the tail suck

If it was an ovi it is over. I never checked her tail 😞 she is currently in her hot side and only left to soak herself

It looks a bit like an Ov, but to play it safe I'd still try to pair her.

This was her last night. Her mid section was large and bulging. I didn't notice a tail suck but when I lifted her up it looked like she had eaten a huge meal.

She doesn't want to breed anymore.

It's looking good. You may have just caught her in the early stages of Ovulation. Keep an eye on her for the next 24 hours or so as if it is early she may likely swell a bit larger yet. Best of luck and Happy Holidays.

She still looks the same this evening. The area is also kind of hard....

That still sounds like an Ovy even though it is not dramatic. I notice in the picture she is straightened out through the swelled area. Has she been keeping her body pretty straight through the swelled area the whole time? If so, that is another good sign that it is likely an Ovy.

This was her last night. She is now only on her hot side and will not move off.
