Multiple Pets Living in the Same Home
I think my cat and one of my snakes have become friends.

Just a little FYI: That cat would love to eat that snake. She is hunting and the baby snake is a prey item. But it is a cute pic and as long as the tank is between them it will be fine.

I have 6 dogs, 2 mice and 4 snakes with 3 more coming. One dog, my service dog, is fine with the snakes. With that said I wouldn't leave them alone together. I also won't leave the other dogs even in the same room if I'm not there.

Do you mean in the same room? because I leave both of my snakes in the tank in my apartment with my cat around. My apartment is one giant room so it's impossible to separate them. Luckily, I live at the boarding school that I work at, so I'm never away from my apartment for more than 4 hours. My snakes hide in their hides all day long and it is rare that I see my cat paying any attention to the snake tanks

I have a female boxer/beagle mix dog, a very stubborn male tabby cat and my little female normal ball python. I NEVER let my cat around my snake because he has a very high prey drive and I know he would hurt my snake. The cat is almost 12 years old and is grumpy as hell. My dog on the other hand seems to enjoy the company of my little girl.

We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 blue front amazon parrot, 1 corn snake, 1 ball python, 12 chickens, and 1 muscovy duck.

The only animal that pays any attention to the snakes is my 12 year old rag doll cat who just likes being near the warm tank for a snooze. otherwise none of the others even care .

36 bps, 3 boas, 8 green tree pythons, 1 beardie, 1 blood python, 4 ackies, 1 black roughneck monitor, 3 leos, 1 honduran milk, 11 assorted turtles and 1 sulcatta tortoise, a burmese python, 3 large parrots, 6 dogs, 2 cats, an oscar and a few goldfish, about a hundred or so each of rats and asf's, and a few thousand dubia roaches. Hmm, I think that covers it. Dang, I haven't actually added that all up in a while, lol. Anyway, I never mix the reptiles with the other pets if I can avoid it. About the closest I get is when I am moving around the house while holding a snake and the dogs start getting curious.

4 bps, 2 Burmese one is a half dwarf, 1 retic, 1 green anaconda, a cat and three roommates. The cat is terrified of the snakes and stays away from them unless I'm holding one of the smaller ones, then she's curious.

A friend of mine has multiple cats and many, many snakes. The bigger ones just lay on her bed and her cats don't bother them at all.

Re: Multiple Pets Living in the Same Home
I have an empty second bedroom in my apartment so I keep all the tanks in there. One of my cats is obsessed with my snakes though. I've seen him sit in front of a tank for four hours or he will just lay on top of it. Whenever I walk around with my snake he just sits there and meows at me lol. One time I took my snake to my bedroom to play with and I went back in and he was laying inside the snake tank that was empty at the time, I had taken the lid off lol. I do get nervous though when I have kittens around the snakes.

Right now I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 pinstripe, 1 pastel lesser, & 1 bumble ballpython, a hamster, hermanns tortoise, & 2 beta fish lol

Ive lost a snake to a cat once, the cat was a fatty and took a nap on top of the tank and actually pushed the screening in so there was a gap and the snake disappeared. But that was like ten years ago.

Otherwise I have 4 little dogs, 1 big dog, 3 cats, 2 parrots, 4 budgies and 9 snakes.
I have trouble with one of the cats who wants to eat my budgies but no one notices the snakes.

    Sorry to hear about that.

I have a large cat as well. To prevent that from happening, I placed some very lightweight junk on top of the screen. It is odd shaped and placed so that the cat will NOT be able to jump on it.

It looks horrible, but at least I know that my :snake: is safe.

I have 5 cats and 9 snakes. Only two of the cats really pay attention to the snakes. One cat actually is really interested and enjoys the snakes being out. It's my 22lb big tabby that always wants to be near them when I have them out. He just sits and let's them slither over him or curl up by him. My two Maine coons on the other hand hunt them at any opportunity. Spray bottle almost aren't enough.

    This.

    Day made at 6:45 AM.

My dog and my snake don't live in the same establishment, however, I've taken plenty of pics of them together. My dog has infinite patience.
