88 to 95 degree SURFACE of what your reptile can touch temperature.
What are you using for a heat source?
What are you using to regulate your heat source?

What are you using to measure your temps and please don't tell me its the stick on analogs LoL
Digital is the way to go and you want to know the surface temp, not the ambient.

What would you recommend for thermostat and humidity readers and what would I use to get the surface temp

The best thing is to go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a temp gun (no contact) thermometer.
They will give you a good reading.

Humidity should be about 50-60% from what I've read and heard, but I am not experienced in this so don't just take it from me. In fact, just bought my first ball python today:)

depends on your snake. 50% normal and bump it up during shed.
I don't go by an exact number anymore. I keep it where I get clean sheds.

Go to walmart and get the Acu-Rite indoor/outdoor thermometer with humidity reading. (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Acu-Rite-I...mometer/896347)

Use hot glue to glue the outdoor temperature probe to the hot side of your tank. Then, hot glue the wire along the bottom edge of the glass leading to the cold side of the tank. That is where you will place the actual unit. The probe that's glued to the side of the tank will read the hot side, the actual unit will provide the cold side readings, and will also provide humidity. Here's a picture of how I have mine set up

It's hard to see, but the temperature probe is hot glued to the inside wall of the tank on the hot side.

Here it is all set up

I stress using Hot glue because using anything with adhesive on it will stick to your snakes causing a bad situation.

OH man, I just realized from that picture that the cold side temps are actually warmer than the warm side temps. It's probably because I use a space heater and put it on the cold side to keep the ambient temp up. I am adjusting that right now.

I'd be careful with accurate a as some can be very off.

Also, if you have multiple snakes, buying a ton of those can be expensive.

    I love my temp gun!
